I am getting this one for price and the fact inside is stainless steel. I have a Hamilton Beach 2 years old and the paint went bad and bottom rusted through. I will never get a painted inside one again. Don't really care about the convection feature. I hope the latch don't go bad but I will be gentile pushing on it to open door. You did a very good to the point review.
I think the child lock being on is what damages the latch bc if you try to open it while it's locked it damages the latch
Just bought this microwave and tried it out, wow it gets HOT when using the air fryer. Used it for only 5 minutes at 400F, and it's still cooling down. Overall I'm not impressed with the machine, I don't see myself using the air fryer on it, and compared to Hamilton Beach for $20 less, the Hamilton Beach just seems like it's built tougher and stronger, and more watts on the Hamilton.

I've had this microwave for 3 years. The latch just broke when I went to open it. The air fryer took 3 times as long as it should to barely air fry some fries. The baking feature was awesome though. Hope yours doesnt break after the warranty too

@@RandomRobScratchin yeah it did what I needed it to do. But literally pushed the latch to open it n it started doing that clunk they do when you push the button then the button just bottomed out n there's nothing now. Can't open it n for some reason if it's plugged in the inside light is on n the turntable just slowly turns

Just curious since you used yours for 3 years. Did the inside stainless steel get splotched up with permanent "stains"? I had a convection/microwave oven years ago and that was the one thing I could not stand about it...the inside just never looked clean even thought it WAS clean.
I purchased mine 3 years ago, starting to malfunction. Start cooking then it cuts off, or won't start takes a min before we can get it started. Not sure what is going on with it. Over all had it for 3 years very good, u cook everything in it. I don't use my oven for anything but stove top that's it.
the company is absolute trash...Mine started braking barely over a year of sporadic use..The worst item quality I EVER purchased

What catches the grease if you put chicken in the air fryer

You use the flat pan to catch the grease
What I do is put the flat tray underneath as a grease catcher
I do chicken in mine all the time I put mine chicken in a disposable aluminum pan you get at the grocery store. That works great for me

GALANZ AIR FRIER was the worst purchase in about a decade...Barely lasted a year, right after warranty expired. Customer service dept is a disaster and made me run in circles for two weeks, each time creating a "new ticket" and copy paste automated replies that go nowhere...DO NOT BUY if you can help it!
Mine made it 3 years. The latch just broke today. Now it won't open n the light n turntable are just on as soon as it's plugged in

Thanks for this review Rob, can I ask you a question? How hot does the machine feel on the outside when you use the air fryer? I've heard one drawback of the machine is that it heats up a lot on the outside. Has that been your experience? Thank you . . .
It gets hot.. Has to be on open counter area like I have it.
Just got today after seeing this video. Tried the microwave/air fry for 10 minutes and the paper plate I had a frozen lasagna on it was too hot to touch. I had it on top of a small fridge for a dorm setup , and top of microwave was hot, top of fridge was hot, I had it flush against the wall, the wall was warm, the outside of the front door was too hot to touch even. Cooks great, but kinda scary!
@@frankcanha yea thing gets hot.. I have a toaster oven thats the same way... my goof of a friend set a walmart bag on top of it while it was on...yea that didnt' play out to well. Had there been a video of that... the entire thing would have to be bleeped out... LOL
@@RandomRobScratchin Been using a few times, and really like it. 5 min microwave then 5 min convection makes any frozen entree much better!
Have you used a thermometer to check the temperature accuracy? I had mine set at 350° but my oven thermometer said it was only 300°. Thanks!

I would imagine you can. I haven't tried it, but it should work
I bought one last month, hate having to set power before microwaving anything. extra steps suck! it seems to roast fine, air fry sucks big time! 40 minutes and still not crisp....at all.

would have to a good extension cord, not a cheap one. I use butter on over feature.

@@AGjunior85 Yes I still have it but I bought a betty crocker brand small electric frying pan. Tbe deep one with lid. It is my go to for much of my in truck cooking now

@@frederickrivera4953 idk, I had a nuker do that once because there was a thin layer of grease or oil was built up. Check to see of anything is on it or near it.
Says in booklet do to the type of conduction ect that only a licensed electrician ect should work on it.
That's because there was metal in the chamber when microwave turned on. The grill option is only for metal. When using microwave use plates, ceramics, glass etc. You can damage your oven when using metal when microwaving. That's the problem.with these dual units many people will accidently use metal to reheat during the microwave cycle.
How do you take the child lock off
To set, in standby mode, press and hold PAUSE/CANCEL for 3 seconds. LOCK is indicated on the display.To cancel, press and hold PAUSE/CANCEL for 3 seconds. LOCK indication disappears

As strips like to cover pie crust edge...directions are very specific in booklet. Mostly it says anything that says microwave safe is mostly safe ..when in doubt can use 30 sec to check it. No recycled paper products so no paper bowls cups ect..may contain metal.

yes, in the baking mode..... Nuke mode like a few minutes. Test just to show it can act as a conventional oven
