I can’t believe how expensive stingrays have gotten. I guess it does have some pretty crazy tech now compared to the C6 and C7. I love that automatic hardtop convertible dude so awesome.

@U.B. The 720S has had keying twice, a hit and run on the rear bumper and someone threw a half drunk Iced coffee through my window while I was at the gas station. Once I get my Vette, the 720S will only be a weekender and never leave my sight. Good luck with your channel, I hope you get the success you need to catch your dreams.

@@u.b.469 One other thing my dude, McLaren are sunsetting new orders for the 720S. From what I've been told, the model replacing it will be the 750S in the future which will have about 30bhp more, improved handling and some other nice features. Hopefully they'll keep it a similar price.

I read the same thing about the 3LT leather issues, but after owning the car I feel like it’s not a common issue. The build quality on the interior is solid. As far as lane changing equipment, what do you mean exactly? The side mirrors have blind spot monitors, the rear view mirror is a wide angle camera and you have back up camera with collision alerting. The 1LT doesn’t have any of these though, so that’s definitely concerning.

Very nice. When I first looked at a Corvette the price was around 7K. That makes me too old to drive one without looking like I'm compensating for something. Maybe in the next life. Good luck.
That's a good looking machine! I guess my only question would be if the motor being all buckled in like that might get a bit too hot in places where severe heat is a common thing? Btw, your comments about the car were solid!
Thank you for the kind words! Regarding motor heat, I definitely understand that concern living in Florida. This car is designed from the ground up around the motor though and there is plenty of heat dissipation since all of the vents you see are functional. For extra peace of mind though, I went with the Z51 package to give the car an additional radiator which is in the passenger door vent.
@@skippynj1979 That’s correct, my understanding is that it offloads the cooling of the transaxle to the third radiator, but all 3 are still in series. So by offloading it helps keep the coolant in the engine cooler overall
Funny you mention the M4 competition xdrive, because that is the exact car I debated getting over this! If we’re talking performance, then they are very similar. Both have 0-60 of 2.8, M4 has 503hp/C8 has 495, M4 has 479lb-ft torque/C8 has 470lb-ft torque. They both run 11 sec 1/4 miles too. I went with the C8, because of the mid-engine setup and because it’s way different than anything I’ve ever driven. The BMW is an amazing car, but I wasn’t in love with the large front grill and after building the interior and options the way I wanted it, it was like $110k. I decided I’d rather have the more exotic looking C8 and a convertible since I live in Florida. I don’t think you can go wrong with either though!

However, there are plenty of true sports cars with AWD and I wouldn't say that makes them unworthy of being sports cars. Porsche 911 Carrera 4, Honda NSX, and all the BMW M-Series with X-drive are all AWD to name a few.

Picking up a C8 Coupe with the same package in Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic this year as my daily driver as I'm a bit sick of people keying my 720S.
