    Greetings from Naples, Florida. We love beaches and this looks like a very nice one. Thanks for sharing. (like 38) 👍

      Definitely check it out! If you can go on a weekday and arrive early. The parking lot only offers around 30+parking spots. When they are all gone the park shuts it gates. Thanks for watching!

    Hello! Just came across this video as I'm trying to plan a solo mini getaway in January to decompress from the holiday season. Thank you so very much for taking time to share this beach with us.

      So people get this confused with the other Pine Island near Cape Coral. This is in Hernando County Fl. Hopefully, it is warm to enjoy. The Gulf will definitely be cold this time of year. Homosassa Springs is like 45 minutes from this area. It is an amazing zoo with animals who have been hurt and can't live in the wild. If it is cold enough, a lot of manatees come here to stay warm. Rogers Park is near Pine Island and Weeki wachee. There are a lot of Manatees on the Weeki wachee River. Enjoy your trip, and thanks for watching! 🙂

    New port richey (down us 19 a bit) has green key which is bigger than that and then tarpon springs has fred howard, which is much bigger, but there are also little county river beaches in the area.

      We have been to those parks too. I like Fred Howard. We want to get out to Ancolate again. We used to go out there on a private boat, which is really fun too do. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    I have a picture of my Grandfather from the 60's at Pine Island I still live on that coast in Hudson

      Pine island has gone through some changes. I remember visiting in the 80s as a kid. Lol my favorite thing as a kid there was the Snowcones. It must have been wild living in the area in the 60s. Florida was such an adventure back then.

      Definitely GPS it! It is in the middle of nowhere. Worth a visit but go early as the parking lot closes when it is filled. Glad you found something else to visit! Florida has a lot of little hidden gems. We are trying to find all of them. Thanks for watching as always!

      It is in the way back. It is best to use the GPS. The road it is on is beautiful and in the middle of nowhere. It is a tiny park, so you need to get there early on hot days because it fills up fast. Check it out next time you are in the area! Thanks for watching!

    I've never heard of this place before. We will definitely have to check it out. I was intrigued when I saw the name Alfred A. McKethan, since the baseball field at the University of Florida is named after him.

      Pine island has been there for years. I am not sure when they added Alfred McKethan. It is cute but small so if you do plan to visit, go early. Thanks for watching!

    My suggestion is Key Vista in the Hokiday area. I love that nature park trails and beach area where people fish or walk or let their dog swim. There is a observation tower and also not far from 19.

    This is our beach :-) Love it. Used to be even better before all the fishermen decided scoop of all the crabs and fish :-( So cool to go snorkeling and seeing everything I wish they wouldn't allow that I think they're leaning towards not allowing it.. hooks and people don't go together anyway. Wonderful family beach the water doesn't get too awfully deep You do want to watch tides before you go makes a world of difference high tide is best. Make sure you do the Florida shuffle and drag your feet We have a lot of stingrays out here some of them pretty little and easy to miss since they just look like a circle of sand.. Also the dolphins come in daily several times a day usually I've had them circle me while I was snorkeling that was super cool. Just remember don't touch them Don't harass them they do their thing you do your thing.. there are actually laws preventing you from touching them besides the fact it just shouldn't unless they give you permission and since they can't do that just don't touch them! Lol

      We are looking at traveling down there in March, is it too chilly for a beach day around that time of year?

  • @ambermenjivar273

    What time of year is this? We are thinking about heading there in march, is it a lil chilly that time of year for beach days?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Florida winter's are never the same. This year, we had both warm and cold weather in March. The Gulf temperatures ranges from 56 to 71 during the time of year on average. We have gotten lucky and swam in Jan, Feb, and March some years, but I can not guarantee warm weather. Sorry! It is always different.

      @@FloridaandBeyond would you say April is a better shot?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ambermenjivar273 April's temperature fluctuates a lot. We had mornings as low as 41 and afternoons as high as 87. The average temp in the gulf is 74 but can be as low as 64 and as high as 80. This year, we were in the 70s in the gulf. Florida weather is so random until we hit June, lol.
