    Been away for 2 weeks and just checked my engine mounts. Fronts good, rears allowing some movement on idle. But discovered coolant nearly to the top of my water pump vent line. Enjoying the videos, seeing what this bike can do and what breaks.

      @MudPuppyOffroad  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pretty funny how that line passes through the engine mount. In order to avoid having to disconnect it I just snipped the engine mount through hole with some dykes. That is scary I have not seen any coolant in mine

    A bolt-through bushing is a no-go for an ATV. As your other subscriber noted, a Samurai T-case mount would be just fine. For sport rigs I use bolt-through mounting but you'd have to live with the vibration.

      Plenty of ATVs are solid mounted. I've converted rhinos and others to solid mounts as well without any issues. This seems to be working great. Put a few hours on it last night.

      @@MudPuppyOffroad I am totally surprised. Suzuki samurai t-case mount can hold up to 33" tyres. I always change for a solid mount but many customers complain of increased vibrations. On rhe other hand, rubber mount is a safety fuse to save the mount arm from snapping.

    I'm definitely going to check mine this afternoon. At idle I have this annoying chirping sound. I figured it was just the exhaust but I'm going to check a few things out. And you are soooooo right about Can Am's crap hardware. I had a 2022 Outlander 850xt and before I took it off my truck I checked the front sway bar mounts because of a video I saw showing very loose or completely missing bolts on them from factory and I had the head of one of the bolts completely broken off while the other 3 on that side were loose. The other side wasn't as bad but 2 were still not that tight at all. Very soft/cheap metal. 😤

      How many hours does your bike have ? Mine did that chirping sound too. And I asked about it a forum and people said it went away after the bike had some ride time on it. Sure enough about 60 hours later the bike doesn’t make that chirping anymore.

      @MudPuppyOffroad mine seem ok. When I push on the side of the motor I do see a little bit of movement but nothing looks broken or to much play. Mine is a 2024 xt 700 but everything looks the same as in your video as far as engine mounts. 🤞

    my friend owns the 700xmr and he got the new 500 for his wife. the 500 has actually had alot of assembly issues. hes only got 700kms on em and the 500 is already having clutch issues. the primary wasn't torqued down right and its caused it to wear the cluch were it sits on the output shaft, and the front bushings are already failing.
    his 700 hasn't had a single problem yet but i feel like the engine shifts alot when he hits the throttle.
    im just waiting to see all the failure points you find before i pull the trigger on a gen 3.

      I have the 500 and have put 30” Aztex on it and I’ve already put over 4000 miles and I’ve only had to replace my starter battery and starter relay and I’ve sunk it 3 times and it still runs flawlessly

      @buildurtruckurway9118 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dariusfairchild8459 there great machines. As I said his seems like it was assembled on an off day. The day he brought it home the lug nuts were all loose and a tire fell off in the first 15 minutes. It's almost like the guy putting it together out of the crate didn't give a crap.
      His 700 has been spot on since he picked it up and he's sunk it once. Rolled it once and the plastics didn't even crack but bent the handle bars. I'm sure the 500 normally runs pretty similar.

    Im a Can Am guy and their engine mounts are garbage. They have had mulitple different pn or the defender front mount and they still break. Then it lets the engine bounce just like your g3.
    Good fix exactly what I would have done. Looks like a permanent fix to me till Can-Am has a new design. Which may or may not be better....

    Have a Honda foreman 400 and went riding today is there anyway I can lock the front diff without a spool locker and also a way to have selectable 4wd
    Also when I took it in over the exhaust it started to die but it made it out before it did do you have any recommendations on how to fix that all the vent lines are rant and when I hit the water I was full throttle so I don’t know why it would have started dying

    • @MudPuppyOffroad
      @MudPuppyOffroad  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately, it's getting very hard to find the components required to do that on your machine. That's also a fairly heavy machine for how underpowered it is. I would really recommend getting something different if you want to build a mud bike. I've built a few of those they can be effective but it's a lot of work to get them competitive
