The Aggies stun the nation with a 29-24 upset of #1 Alabama in their first ever trip to Tuscaloosa. (All audio and video content is the property of CBS)
I will never forget this game . Not only did the aggies beat Alabama but I married My beautiful wife on this day . I even mentioned " go aggies beat Alabama " in my wedding vowels and the church laughed . What a day to Remeber
I've rewatched the game NUMEROUS times. 1) How does Alabama having a young secondary = luck for A&M? 2) How does Yeldon fumbling the ball due to a perfect hit by the A&M LB = luck? 3) Nothing after the 1st Q? You haven't rewatched the game even once. 9 pts plus 4 left off the board due to a bad kicker. So I guess Bama had a good 2nd Q then nothing, huh? You're really bad at this, chief. A&M outplayed Bama. Bama won the natl title and deservedly so. Move on. This conversation is over.
I swear i've watch replays for the game 4 times and highlights like a hundred times....it never gets old props to Bama fans though they were amazing....unlike "past fans" but from what i hear lsu may be rough next year
If this is what SEC life is like, sign me up. Forget the win, that whole day in Tuscaloosa was magnificent, the crowd, the weather, the venue, the history, etc. Meanwhile, Texas was in Austin playing Iowa State, two moribund teams playing in front of a bored crowd. You give me Tuscaloosa and Gainesville and Athens and Knoxville over all the venues of the XII and I'll be happy with that deal. Aggies are an SEC team now and forever. Great highlight vid!
You really, really need to rewatch the game and get your facts right. Let me educate you: - A&M completely dominated the entire 1st qtr, not 5 minutes - A&M outrushed Alabama 165-122 - A&M left 4 points on the board due to the kicking game otherwise it's 33-24 late in the game - Take away 3 big pass plays by Alabama where A&M's young secondary made mental mistakes (50, 52, and 54 yards), and their offensive numbers look pretty lame. But you're right - anyone who beats Bama is simply lucky.
Good game, from a Tide fan. Bama ended the year with a title, so we can't be too mad. A&M's defense looked great during this game. Why such a departure these past two years? What happened? Also, Swope is a beast. Surprised he hasn't popped up more in the pro's. Tide Roll!
Xavier S Correct, we are young and have a new DC in Chavis so we should be better this next season. But 2016 season with a year under Chavis and most being Upperclassmen, watch out...
Looking forward to many more Bama-A&M match ups. This looks like it's going to be a good series moving forward. Sept. 14 is gonna be epic! You Tide Fans will be treated well in College Station. Enjoy the tailgating! Gig 'em, and RTR.
Im glad someone else caught that..!!!!!! Still glad A&M won but Bama got away with A LOT of missed calls. Especially holding on either Moore or Nealy. Damn good game though.
Colin Klein will win because his team is in national championship contention. Thats just the nature of the beast. Manziel will have to settle for Freshman of the Year honors but he'll win a Heisman in years to come
I love your highlight videos more than anything. Please keep them up. P.S. I don't blame you fro skipping the La Tech game. That video would've been an hour long. W14OOP
With conference realignment, Texas A&M seemed awkward in the SEC playing Bama, until they went on the road in their first ever visit to Tuscaloosa, and beat the #1 team in the country. This game set the tone for this series that should be good for years to come.
did you do this yourself? solid video man. every significant thing that happened, edited perfectly. absolutely brilliant. feel free to make one for the UCLA-USC game that just ended :)
I became a fan of Johnny Football as of this game. I would hope he gets his life in order with the Browns. Eddie Lacey has made a mark in the NFL with the Packers. Who else from this game is now in the NFL?
lots of these players are in the NFL, not all are starters though. off the top of my head mosley, manziel, evans, mccarron, yeldon, christine michael, porter, lacy, cooper the list goes on
I know everyone talks about Bama getting revenge, well Texas A&M has something to prove too. They beat the #1 team in nation, then watched them win the national championship. I think the Aggies were the best team in nation last year and on Sept. 14, 2013, the Aggies have to prove last year was not a fluke.
Gotta love the job Sumlin and staff did this year. He should be coach of the year in the SEC. I'm a Florida alum and I'm glad to have a big time Texas team in the conference. I don't want Missouri though. I'd rather have had FSU, Texas, or West Virginia.
I'm an Alabama fan but damn want a football game, I was so damn salty after this game lol. it was all good because we went on to beat Notre Dame for the national championship that year
I'm a Red Raider, but a Texan first. I always root for the other Texas schools when they play an out-of-state opponent (although there was admittedly some joy in seeing UT embarrassed by BYU). I can't wait for this Saturday's game. Gig Em.
We came into the Toughest conference in the country, with a red shirt Freshman&a world that called us Bottom Feeders.true believers saw the potential this team had. Leaving the Big12 was the best decision we ever made.We will have a choke hold on Texas recruiting for the next year. Manziel has earned a Hesiman. He has more passing and rushing yards and TDs than Klein and only loses to Klein in Rushing TDs. GIVE THE MAN THE HEISMAN..HE'S EARNED IT. The aggies did not beg for respect..WE TOOK IT!
The word "outplayed" means that A&M didn't win due to a fluke. It means that they matched everything that Alabama threw at them, and in the end A&M had a little bit more. That doesn't mean that Alabama wouldn't have won a rematch. My guess is that Bama wins that game 2 out of 3 times. But A&M outplayed Alabama in this game - there is no refuting that. Phrases like "Bama just had a bad game" or "Bama didn't get up for the game" is for wusses, and frankly it should be beneath a Bama fan.
To be truthful with you, on number 2 in your response, it didn't even look like he got hit. It look like the defender stripped the ball from his arms. Which is in no way, "luck".
Wait...so Alabama DIDN'T get outplayed? That's very interesting. So it's not enough that they won the National Championship? You just can't come to grips with reality that they got outplayed in this game? Get over it kid - enjoy the national title and move on.
really is looking like it, isnt it... and it gives me a tingling feeling inside. Although, i must admit... when swope got that nasty hit against miss. st... i got a chub. lmao
Well the FL game was Johnny's first game as a starting QB in college, the LSU game he made too many freshman mistakes along with his receivers dropping easy passes. The FL & LSU game were also were both before the Bama game and TAMU progressively got better throughout the year. At the end of season, TAMU was clearly the best team in the country and would've beat ND way worse than Bama did.
When Alabama wins championships, "we got 13 championships now!" "we got 14 championships now!" "we got 15 championships now!" "who has the most national championships?" When Alabama loses a game...."they got lucky" "oh, bama just had a bad day"
thank god i was sick of hearing about alabama..n i can see why they were ranked as high but honestly think they should have been # 2 not number #1. good game though.
Its funny how you automatically assume i'm an TAMU fan, im a fan of college football. Bama got outplayed, stop being in denial. Rematch is on September 14th
I can guarantee you I understand the game of football more than you kid and if alabama is so great, why did they let a 19 year old kid and a team thats never played in bryant denny before put 20 on them 1st qtr in front of their home crowd? Wasn't luck, they got outplayed.
How's Missouri's season going?? About as good if not better than Auburn's, Arkansas', Kentucky's, and Tennessee's. What's your point? Better be glad there's no trace of Big XII....if there were, there would be no trace of TAMU,like before they threw that SEC patch on their jerseys. The conference is over-rated as a whole, with a couple of teams that alternate being good, but never consistent.
For every single Alabama drive in the first half, I could count a hold, a block in the back, something that wasn't called. Pathetic officiating. Should have been 45-0
I wouldn't be so sure about that lol.. maybe LSU and Alabama. But the rest have teams that can beat them. And LSU could just as easily slip up one day. South Carolina could lose to Michigan or Ohio State. Florida could lose to Clemson, Florida state, NC State. Texas A&M (oh God) could lose to Oregon, Stanford, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona state, USC, etc. (And please don't go acting like there's no way in hell any of these could happen) lol.
Its sad that you back up your'e SEC history on one bad team. I'm done with this conversation, I hope you have fun watching the National Championship, because the SEC is about to win it again.
I will never forget this game . Not only did the aggies beat Alabama but I married
My beautiful wife on this day . I even mentioned " go aggies beat Alabama " in my wedding vowels and the church laughed . What a day to Remeber
That's beautiful. If you could give someone 1 piece of advice on love, what would be your number 1 thing to tell them?
Kieon Coleman Dont schedule your wedding during football season
God bless you and your wonderful marriage! Gig em!
As great as Manziel was in this game he nearly got Swope decapitated a few times. Big grabs by Swope.
Swope knew he was gonna get crushed on that 3rd and 9 play but he knew that was the biggest play of the game
I've rewatched the game NUMEROUS times.
1) How does Alabama having a young secondary = luck for A&M?

If this was in CFP era A&M would’ve played Bama for the natty
Here in 2021. Everett’s pick at the goal line looked exactly like Richardson’s today. Chills.
Deja vu
I think Gary Danielson started to cry when Ritter called that neutral-zone infraction that effectively ended the game.
I swear that guy has a hard on for Bama its nauseating.
And bama still won the national championship. Roll Tide! But that was a great Aggies team, no doubt about that!
Thank you for including Saw Em Off at the end 😊 best part
I swear i've watch replays for the game 4 times and highlights like a hundred times....it never gets old
props to Bama fans though they were amazing....unlike "past fans" but from what i hear lsu may be rough next year

Swope was doing great with the Cardinals but had to retire before even hitting the field due to concussions.
marktastic86 A&M benefited from a ton of seniors on defense (like Miss St. this year) but now the team is very young.
Xavier S Correct, we are young and have a new DC in Chavis so we should be better this next season. But 2016 season with a year under Chavis and most being Upperclassmen, watch out...
+Jeremy Mendoza "Team on the Rise!"
Never ending cry of the aggie.
Swopes
Man those passes were something else... But how bout those receivers? Catching everything.
You know, that Alabama/Texas A&M could be one of the bigger rivalries in college football in the near future
And it is now if not for bama Texas a&m prolly be in the playoffs
Looking forward to many more Bama-A&M match ups. This looks like it's going to be a good series moving forward. Sept. 14 is gonna be epic! You Tide Fans will be treated well in College Station. Enjoy the tailgating! Gig 'em, and RTR.
sad to see how Johnny faired in the NFL. Great talent just too big of a stage
AWESOME! Thanks for posting his video.
I love this game! I remember watching this at home good times :) have to wait a few more months for rematch :D
Dude, this is fabulous!! Great job!!!!
This was a great game played by both teams, I really respect Alabama. BTHO Notre Dame.
You Texas Aggies are the best team in the country as of December 10, 2012. Congratulations to Johnny Football on his first of 4 Heisman Trophies.
Im glad someone else caught that..!!!!!! Still glad A&M won but Bama got away with A LOT of missed calls. Especially holding on either Moore or Nealy. Damn good game though.

One of my favorite games ever
Quincy Productions mine too because bama lost
I love your highlight videos more than anything. Please keep them up.

GIG EM!!!!!

An unreal and exciting football game! Gig 'em!
I became a fan of Johnny Football as of this game. I would hope he gets his life in order with the Browns. Eddie Lacey has made a mark in the NFL with the Packers. Who else from this game is now in the NFL?
+Alan Ash I hope Ryan Swope, Mike Evans, Shaun Porter, and Spencer Nealy are. Those boys can play some football.
I know Evans is a starter for the Bucs and Swope ended up getting cut by the Cardinals (I think) due to issues with concussions.
Yeah, Ryan Swope had to retire due to concussions :( Its a shame because he was a beast and could have been a quality player in the NFL
cj mosley
lots of these players are in the NFL, not all are starters though. off the top of my head mosley, manziel, evans, mccarron, yeldon, christine michael, porter, lacy, cooper the list goes on
This game was the most exciting game of the 2012 season.
Are you gonna do one for SHSU? I was at work and had to miss it.
Great game!

I think the Aggies were the best team in nation last year and on Sept. 14, 2013, the Aggies have to prove last year was not a fluke.
About damn time a&m has a competitive team! Keep doing what yall are doing and hopefully the texas-texas a&m game will resume!
Hook em!
I wish I didn’t have to keep watching this game to see us beat Bama. But, here we are.
You’ve got another game to watch now
Gotta love the job Sumlin and staff did this year. He should be coach of the year in the SEC.
I'm a Florida alum and I'm glad to have a big time Texas team in the conference. I don't want Missouri though. I'd rather have had FSU, Texas, or West Virginia.
@ 17:05 that right there makes everyone envy the Aggies.
Epic game. Congrats Aggies and Roll Tide. On to the BCS!!!!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! From a Hog fan way to gig 'em Aggies!!
I'm an Alabama fan but damn want a football game, I was so damn salty after this game lol. it was all good because we went on to beat Notre Dame for the national championship that year
*what
I'm a Red Raider, but a Texan first. I always root for the other Texas schools when they play an out-of-state opponent (although there was admittedly some joy in seeing UT embarrassed by BYU).
I can't wait for this Saturday's game. Gig Em.
Im a Alabama fan. Watchin this hurts but I am 99% sure Alabama has something special for Texas A&M. ROLL TIDE
For some reason this game reminds me of what the San Antonio Spurs are going to do to the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals..

still an awesome game to this day.
@woodlandsaggie. Please consider making a video to promote JFF for the Heisman if you still have all the video.
It’s always beautiful when Alabama loses
again tonight, too bad it was to texas
Can't wait till 3:30 so I can watch this great match up
Who here after Texas A&M beat Alabama?
Yessir
I think this game was better w/Johnny.
Besides the small fact that we have a brand new coaching staff and a very young team.
I wanted to do the La Tech game, but because the game went for so long, my DVR didn't record the last hour! ;-)
To be truthful with you, on number 2 in your response, it didn't even look like he got hit. It look like the defender stripped the ball from his arms. Which is in no way, "luck".
BEST. GAME. EVER.
WHOOOOOOOP! Sept. 14 is gonna be rockin' at Kyle. Everybody knows how good Bama is. Saban v. Sumlin 2.0. Let's git it on!
Johnny football is a str8 up beast lil mini cam newton
I'm pretty sure thornsx has it up if you wanna just pull that stream and condense it.
12:23
Everett was hunting an interception all game long and he finally got it
Wait...so Alabama DIDN'T get outplayed? That's very interesting. So it's not enough that they won the National Championship? You just can't come to grips with reality that they got outplayed in this game? Get over it kid - enjoy the national title and move on.
I ❤ #2 johnny manziel!!!
really is looking like it, isnt it... and it gives me a tingling feeling inside. Although, i must admit... when swope got that nasty hit against miss. st... i got a chub. lmao
Why? o.o what did he do?
thank god somebody beat alabama
unreal.
Well the FL game was Johnny's first game as a starting QB in college, the LSU game he made too many freshman mistakes along with his receivers dropping easy passes. Great vid woodland.. bama thought they was gunna walk all over us .. haha WHOOP WHOOP. GIG'EM
Gig’em
So funny the announcer gets so excited only when Bama scored. So glad Bama lost.
When Alabama wins championships, "we got 13 championships now!" "we got 14 championships now!" "we got 15 championships now!" "who has the most national championships?" When Alabama loses a game...."they got lucky" "oh, bama just had a bad day"
go A&M
Hey princess - in Big 12 games, A&M was 10-6 against Okie State. You may have owned Sherman, but you didn't come close to owning A&M.
WoodlandsAggie Oklahoma St is the superior program. Your coach is about to get fired.
A&M is the new #1 in Texas now that they're in the SEC. Texas don't want none now.
Vanderbilt lost. They pretty much forfeited when they BACKED OUT. They had to make room for powerhouses like UMASS and Austin Peay.
thank god i was sick of hearing about alabama..n i can see why they were ranked as high but honestly think they should have been # 2 not number #1. good game though.
Poor poor Bama!! :'(
Roll Tide has some seniors gone and A&M is pretty much the same team.....
i will not say that the aggies won this. i will also not say that that alabama lost it. both teams had one good half
A&M is SEC now. Therefore, an SEC team knocked off an SEC team from the number one spot.
I sense a resurrection of the wrecking crew in the years to come...
2:17 Lacy was way too open.
True, we outplayed Bama that day. Also true that Bama deserved the Natty.
Its funny how you automatically assume i'm an TAMU fan, im a fan of college football. Bama got outplayed, stop being in denial. Rematch is on September 14th
Me neither. I think he's a better player than Cam Newton was though.
Johnny manziel defeats alabama on the road!!!
LMAO, Riiiiight
the aggies will be destroyed this is ALA freaken BAMA, roll tide!
watch 3:17
Then 2014 made up for it
@@RadicallyOptimistic you are everywhere damn but go ducks
nothing better than bama fans crying

Eric the turds have no chance in that game. college station is the most difficult place to play in the nation.
JFF!!!
Yeah... how about that Cotton Bowl score? little 12's best, huh?
i want all aggies to know the tide is getting ready 2 roll all over you and why
this is Ala Freaken Bama.
How's Missouri's season going?? About as good if not better than Auburn's, Arkansas', Kentucky's, and Tennessee's. What's your point? Johnny be good but he never beat lsu
Us as a program couldn’t till 2018 and this year
I wouldn't be so sure about that lol.. maybe LSU and Alabama. But the rest have teams that can beat them. And LSU could just as easily slip up one day. After reading the conversation I don't care. However, Vandy would have beat Ohio State.
Its sad that you back up your'e SEC history on one bad team. I'm done with this conversation, I hope you have fun watching the National Championship, because the SEC is about to win it again.
No, A&M was not lucky, Bama got outplayed and out coached. I watched from beginning to end
