From a Software developer perspective, it’s easier to just add the “Other” to the options. If this is an attribute of the class “User” then deleting it would involve removing the list to choose the addressing, then edit the models and how they are created, then go to the SQL DB and go through all users registered removing that column.
I was always the tallest child since Kindergarden and my mother told me that when I was 7 years old I told her "we should move to a castle, because a house would not be big enough for me when I grow older". And since I've always felt majestic all my life, from now on I urge everyone, no, I demand to be addressed as "Your Royal Highness".
Yeah, that's right. Totally agree with the statement. I think the German government should make a treatment tour for those people so-called activists, let them visit poor countries where finding pure water is a big issue, and see whether they are devoted to their ideals in the environment where the water is a luxury.
It's a waste of time and money. It is also a liability, because if that person is a threat or causes a problem, which they usually do and are, it will be tedious to "identify" them in a logical manner.
I have a name. How about calling me that. It's what my parents gave me and has worked fine my whole life. I'm an enby who is over 50. I am not offended by being called any pronoun. Just confused by all the rudeness from companies that want my business/money.
No. There are at least 3. What if someone has something between their legs and two "melon like" things. (I don't think, that I can write that here.) So you need a "non binary" option.
True, DB could well use that money getting their punctuality improved. Such a waste of money and resources for the "feelings" of a tiny minority. Not only for train apps. If one feels offended, don't use the app, go to a ticket counter and see whether the clerk can figure your gender.
They are lying to you. It's actually not that hard AT ALL to update the software. Other than the software update, what else do they need to do??? I can't think of anything.
My Father was born in Germany. I am a non-binary U.S. citizen who would love to go see Munich and Berlin with my own eyes. Guess I will be taking a bus or renting a car because I don't want to take the Transphobia Express.
Why ask for a form of adress anyway? It's a ticket! Easier to remove the entire step.
Right? Much easier to do this instead of people being mad that they're adding this. Just make it genderless and everyone will be happy
That’s what I thought isn’t the last name enough
I think it’s been standard in Germany or other European countries for a while and is just like that

The entire German language is gendered.
Thank you 😂😂

You Royal Highness.
@@Serena-Vanderwoodsen Yes? 😉
First world problems
Gender markers should just be removed from the app, it's simpler and there was no pertinence ingender markers in tickets to begin with.
U know u life in a rich country when this is considerd a problem ^-^

@@BambooExpat You know there are queer people all over the world right? Such a stupid way to frame this argument
@currentlyquang just eat your avocado 🥑 dude lol
there is ... just buy ur ticket at a ticket machine ... no gender needed

nonsense, you don't need to refer to someone as their gender marker to talk to them or resolve a conflict !

Because there are only TWO
No, theres hermaphrodites and people who has neither. Genetic deforms are exists in extremely small numbers
Ok Snowflake

I think this is so idiotic. Imagine making a fuss about what your honorific is in a DB ticket. Bruh just get on that train and go on with your day
Titles are no longer necessary and I don't know why they would be important for transport. Just your legal name should be fine.
This is ridiculous. All of it. From having a law that forces the 3rd option to the company needing millions to update its software.

I'd have harsher words;
Like "insane"!
If someone is so prissy about what they call themselves they need to offended at every step possible
Or you know … that could deal with it
Just an option 😊
Its so dump to discuss this
I think this will be an insignificant moment in human history. Encapsulated by a reach for special existence.
I identify as unicorn🦄, that better be an option!!😤
😁
Adding 3rd option will Cost MILLION OF EURO? How old is this system that you cant change that?
It’s not one system, but dozens, some very old, many purchased requiring expensive CRs.
People aren’t busy. Idle minds…
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I want to be addressed by my gamertag alone.
You lost.
@@voelkela that was sarcasm.
Third option should be : entitled narcissist
Gender should be left to science. Activists should not chose for me😢😢😢
Nobody is choosing for you
Whatever! 🙄😒
I identify as a dog. Why is woof not on there?
Eigentlich heißt es nicht Deutsche-Bahn sondern Deutsche-bundes-Bahn.
Only in Germany would they complicate matters by forms, get rid of Mr mrs .
Germany pLs don’t put non binary 🫤🙏
Ah yes a whole entire country will listen to dravenhogg5932
Oh my god , get over yourself
Get rid of all gender options.

Mr. or Mrs. that's it
Even if you’re not transphobia English has three. Mr., Mrs., and Miss
@leeman1525 lol that's pretty good 👍
Who cares actually
Segma DB
Non issues that only people with nothing better to do and a fragile ego waste their time on
Ofc they need more time, the Deutsche Bahn is late all the time, no matter with what!

really? why dont get a job, get to pay a mortage, medical, kids, and I promise, you wont worry about this nonsense again
Can't you just pay your money and ride?
yeah lets add that too, and lets make a german train that has a walking tiger unicorn tank in it too 💀🤡
Huge W for the tickets
How exactly will it cost millions to add a button to a website.
They would have to change all the machines to have a third option. Probably easier to just rip it off and abandon this feature entirely
