    Came to learn Muay thai in Thailand, went home to start Muay thai schools and call them Kun Khmer, which literally means, Muay thai in Cambodia.

    • @NoLightMystery

      Came to learn where? They had partnerships for with the thai camp for warms ups leading up to the fight. It would be the equivalent of foreign ufc fighters warming up at a nearby usa camp leading up to the fight. They trained in Khmer camps prior to warming up at the thai camp. No logic. Do you know how far the travel is to cambodia by car? They'd be drained and stiff if they didn't warm up at a nearby thai camp.

    Kunkhmer's original name was "Pradal Seri". This word means free boxing. Muay Thai also means free boxing too. Cambodians lern muaythai but they don't want anyone know this truth. They changed the name to Kun Khmer and claim everything from muay thai.

  • @kirksulu
    @kirksulu 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    It used to be called Pradal Serey or Free boxing in Cambodia, which have fought with MuayThai since past, but Muay Thai always win. Now at the turn of century, after the war and genocide, young Khmers have come to train in Muaythai camps in Thailand. Thais welcome young Khmer trainers with open arms so these young people can make a living. Now they all grown up and say they're kun khmer while wearing muaythai shorts, muaythai rules, and say it's origin of muaythai. Lol.
