You know that expression “Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened”? That’s kinda how I feel right about now, they didn’t have to build a story into their Battle Royale game but it means so much that they did. The story of Reality Zero and its inhabitants spanned years and although complicated at times it was so much fun seeing it all unfold and I only hope what they build next will elicit similar feelings when I see it from afar at the end. As for you Scyan, thank you so much for making this video. I think I speak for everyone who (attempted) to follow the story when I say the attention to detail, craftsmanship and humour you baked into this video is truly unmatched and simply amazing to witness thank you so much.
I haven't watched this yet, as I'm planning to watch it with my siblings, but coming from someone who has been hyperfixating on the Fortnite Lore as of recently and can find almost NO content on it, this is like a dream come true. Can't wait to watch it in its entirety!
1st Half of ch 3 was great for lore and gameplay but I felt season 3/4 kinda killed it, 3 boring and 4 felt unnatural because of the chrome and the characters/ story just being “chrome cover map”

This video was by far the most informative dealing with the fortnite lore, everyone else did too many shortcuts and it was obvious, this video made me realize most or all the “crew” pack skins are actual important characters along with some in the shop that comes out with every season

Everything from the beginning to chapter 4 was my childhood. Fortnite will be told to my children in the future by saying this game had a huge impact on the gaming industry. Good and bad. The story was good, but the over amount of micro transactions was a lot, but you can say thanks to EA for that

I will nerver forget the random 50v50 game i was playing with my brother and on spawn island the lightning that spawned kevin started and it was lasting way longer then the others and while on the bus kevin appeared and everyone literally all 100 players went to it and the game ended in 5 minutes

Probably one of my favorite things this game ever did was when build was disabled for the first two weeks of the resistance season and to compensate we got better movement. Literally one of my favorite things from chapter three
Wow. Great work making this. I played from Season 2 until the first black hole when the game went dark for a couple days. that's when I stoped playing. I would hop back in every now and then but not enough to really know what was happening. I have started playing again wanted to know whats been happening. Thank you for making this, I had no idea this much lore and story was being told let alone how complicated and confusing it all kind of is. The last theory I remember was that the island was a combat simulation for the people in the Save The World game, crazy how far everything has come.
I think my favorite points of the storyline were honestly early ch 2 stuff. I loved the stuff with ego and alter and chaos agent is easily one of my favorite characters that I hope makes a comeback to the story one day.
This was an incredible video. I'm definitely gonna share this with my friends. Heck, I'll probably come back and watch it again in a few days just for the entertainment value

I only recently got into Fortnite and I am shocked by how engrossed I am in this lore. English-speaking comedians have a saying that goes something to the effect of: The purest form of comedy is to find the absurd within the mundane And I am a big sucker for stories like this that derive drama from the opposite approach: Putting up an absurd facade which most of the time you stay true to, but the further you scratch that surface the more you see the mundanity of life as a driving force behind the conflict portrayed by that facade. In that regard, in some ways, Fortnite is just the fable of Sisyphus with multiverses and time paradoxes. Sometimes it feels like you're just stuck in a loop. Sometimes the way out of it can seem just out of reach. Sometimes you really mess up and all you can do is just pick up the pieces and keep trucking on. Sometimes you break through only to find a new loop awaiting you. But just like there are adversaries in this loop, so too are there friends who share that pain, who you can laugh with and might even make that loop enjoyable, or even an intrinsic will that makes that loop worth fighting through anyway. An unwillingness to succumb to despair in the face of an absurd recursion, or maybe even the defiant will to have joy in spite of it. All these the things I feel from a game where I'm playing as Miles Morales and get my dome knocked off by Chun Li with a twelve-gauge while her teammate Perfect Cell griddies on my corpse, and I wouldn't have it any other way 🤣

One theory I once saw that I liked was the season 6 Kevin was the cube king arriving to the island after escaping after the cube queen took him out with her power as we see in the origins loading screen and when Kevin exploded he escaped and was caught by the imagined order and became a prisoner and then was found by the seven when they went to find the Paridigm but she wasn’t there as she was helping out with the Mecha Team Leader and then they took the cube king to then become part of the seven becoming the Origin.

I havent watched the full video, only the first 10 or so minutes and the edit at the end, but I loved those, and I know I'll love the rest when I get to it.
Just want to drop a compliment here, you did absolutely amazing work. I watched this video at 2 am yet at no point did I feel like falling asleep, your enthusiasm and writing managing to keep me hooked for the entire 3 hours. There is so much lore that I didn't know despite playing since c1s3, so thanks for making this video and both 1) covering everything there is (in the main storyline, at least) and 2) having such great pacing that every bit of story was perfectly concise. Amazing video, and looking forward to any potential future lore videos you might make! Also, unrelated to the video but I really do hope chapter 5 will have as much story and dialogue as chapter 4, c4s2 specifically. Loved the questline there. I kinda just like the writing in most of Fortnite, especially in Save The World. The event questlines and main questline in that gamemode are genuinely wonderful and have gotten quite a few laughs out of me.

I just have one question abt something i don’t understand. If the loop makes people lose memories and become mute, how are some of the npcs able to talk like the Specialists?
that means the world to me thank you so so sooo muchhh! Those npcs are using a special tech which allows people to kind of interact with the inner loop while not being in it, or effected by it much, its like going in a in between dimension of the loop

Also was that the afterlife arcade theme at some points? I used to play that game a ton so I recognize that music anywhere lol that was nice to hear.

It was teleported in through a small rift Cube managed to bring the zero point out without need of more energy, so it saw it uneeded to go for more power Thank you so much❤️❤️ happy you enjoyed itp

This is a great video for me, since I just got back into the Fortnite lore after being away from it for three years Great video! I think the Fortnite lore is actually written really well. I can't wait to see what they do next
This video is not unique in it's topic, but what makes it better than the other fortnite timeline videos, is that you actually cover A LOT more of the smaller details that all of the other similar videos skip. This is because all those smaller details add up, which then requires MUCH more time to include and edit, this might not seem worth it as a the video creator because most viewers won't even realise all those missing details anyway, causing the details to be left out from the video. It doesn't mean much from a random youtube comment, but I want to know that your extra effort is appreciated, and is what makes your video (and channel) better than the others. I'm sure it seemed tempting/easier to leave some of these details out during the (no doubt, very) long creation process of this video. So, thanks for including them, it's what makes this video good :) (also, great video, but where did the idea of 'the nothing' & and 'the everything' come from? Is this actually confirmed in anything? or just speculation?)

I only recently got into Fortnite and I am shocked by how engrossed I am in this lore.
English-speaking comedians have a saying that goes something to the effect of: The purest form of comedy is to find the absurd within the mundane
And I am a big sucker for stories like this that derive drama from the opposite approach: Putting up an absurd facade which most of the time you stay true to, but the further you scratch that surface the more you see the mundanity of life as a driving force behind the conflict portrayed by that facade.
In that regard, in some ways, Fortnite is just the fable of Sisyphus with multiverses and time paradoxes. Sometimes it feels like you're just stuck in a loop. Sometimes the way out of it can seem just out of reach. Sometimes you really mess up and all you can do is just pick up the pieces and keep trucking on. Sometimes you break through only to find a new loop awaiting you. But just like there are adversaries in this loop, so too are there friends who share that pain, who you can laugh with and might even make that loop enjoyable, or even an intrinsic will that makes that loop worth fighting through anyway. An unwillingness to succumb to despair in the face of an absurd recursion, or maybe even the defiant will to have joy in spite of it.
All these the things I feel from a game where I'm playing as Miles Morales and get my dome knocked off by Chun Li with a twelve-gauge while her teammate Perfect Cell griddies on my corpse, and I wouldn't have it any other way 🤣

One theory I once saw that I liked was the season 6 Kevin was the cube king arriving to the island after escaping after the cube queen took him out with her power as we see in the origins loading screen and when Kevin exploded he escaped and was caught by the imagined order and became a prisoner and then was found by the seven when they went to find the Paridigm but she wasn’t there as she was helping out with the Mecha Team Leader and then they took the cube king to then become part of the seven becoming the Origin.

Just want to drop a compliment here, you did absolutely amazing work. I watched this video at 2 am yet at no point did I feel like falling asleep, your enthusiasm and writing managing to keep me hooked for the entire 3 hours. There is so much lore that I didn't know despite playing since c1s3, so thanks for making this video and both 1) covering everything there is (in the main storyline, at least) and 2) having such great pacing that every bit of story was perfectly concise. Amazing video, and looking forward to any potential future lore videos you might make!
Also, unrelated to the video but I really do hope chapter 5 will have as much story and dialogue as chapter 4, c4s2 specifically. Loved the questline there. I kinda just like the writing in most of Fortnite, especially in Save The World. The event questlines and main questline in that gamemode are genuinely wonderful and have gotten quite a few laughs out of me.

I just have one question abt something i don’t understand. If the loop makes people lose memories and become mute, how are some of the npcs able to talk like the Specialists?

Those npcs are using a special tech which allows people to kind of interact with the inner loop while not being in it, or effected by it much, its like going in a in between dimension of the loop
Ah gotcha. Some things get confusing when they need to make stuff up to explain gameplay. Finally finished and damn that was an amazing video. Great work man! Also was that the afterlife arcade theme at some points? I used to play that game a ton so I recognize that music anywhere lol that was nice to hear.

It was teleported in through a small rift
Cube managed to bring the zero point out without need of more energy, so it saw it uneeded to go for more power

This video is not unique in it's topic, but what makes it better than the other fortnite timeline videos, is that you actually cover A LOT more of the smaller details that all of the other similar videos skip.
This is because all those smaller details add up, which then requires MUCH more time to include and edit, this might not seem worth it as a the video creator because most viewers won't even realise all those missing details anyway, causing the details to be left out from the video.
It doesn't mean much from a random youtube comment, but I want to know that your extra effort is appreciated, and is what makes your video (and channel) better than the others. I'm sure it seemed tempting/easier to leave some of these details out during the (no doubt, very) long creation process of this video. So, thanks for including them, it's what makes this video good :)
