Honestly there is something so special about shopping at these shops in person. I went to Japan earlier this year and it was my first time shopping from AP and Baby brand new and it was totally worth it. The experience as a whole and the items I got were things that I rarely see secondhand and saving up for a shopping trip really makes it so satisfying. What a lovely haul you got. I love seeing the items you got from Nile Perch, I’ll definitely need to make an effort to go there on my next trip. Thanks for sharing! Edit: forgot to mention: my AP purchases were socks and cutsews and blouses!
I totally agree! I really loved being able to shop in person, I would definitely save up again to be able to splurge on another trip like i did for this one ~ I wish I had managed to get a blouse from AP but the one I liked didn't fit. Maybe next time! ❤️
Excellent haul!! Congrats on your first Kumya! The pink usakumya is iconic. I’m planning my first trip to Japan for next year and this has given me a lot more ideas of places to shop! I of course want to make a pilgrimage to a Metamorphose store but I also would love to attend a Gothic Lolita Market if the time lines up.
I put scarves in my Kumya pochette bodies to keep them from looking emaciated, and then I put my cards and keys inside the head. It's certainly a pain to use as a purse when I have long nails but worth it for the ridiculous cuteness. Great haul! 😊 I love everything, but I'm partial to the NP cardigan because I've never bought from them, so it's a wish of mine to have one too.
lmao I think we might've been in japan around the same time!! I loved seeing your haul, honestly I had such a wonderful time shopping in japan (Even at the AP my card declined in because my bank was shocked I was in japan, 3 days into my vacation and after buying a meta jsk with no issue) And it was fun to discover new brands while walking around. I ended up picking up a Holy Lantern JSK I spotted at the AP in Shibuya Parco, and the pink magical milk cats jsk, I was originally looking for the black jsk but at the AP in kyoto, I tried on the pink one and it just immediately endeared itself to me (And would actually work better with my mainly black wardrobe)

hooray for first kumya! i gave in and got my first one recently, a kumakumya pochette that i've already started making dresses for. in my comm some of us pick a naming theme because they have multiple kumyas (or expect to have multiple kumyas eventually lol). i think the funniest one is naming kumyas after gundam characters
I told my friend who loves gundam about this and it made him very happy haha 😁 I still have to think of something for mine... I feel like if I name her after a character, it's giving her that personality and I don't like good characters so I feel bad LOL (don't want her to end up called Griffith or Lestat or something)
