I'm originally from Joplin, MO and in 2011, it was devasted by a giant tornado and even though I hadn't lived there for 25 years, I still consider it my hometown so I went back to volunteer in any way that I could. I was astounded at the amount of volunteers from all over not only the local area, but even from Tuscaloosa, AL which had been hit shortly before. You could get free food, water, and even pet food from all of the volunteers. It was amazing and restored my faith in humanity. Pretty sure that's what you just experienced too.
I went and volunteered in Biloxi after hurricane Katrina and it was life changing. And it is sad that it takes something like that to get most people to just stop being awful for a while and act like human beings but it for sure did restore my faith in humanity... Spent the holidays camping in the parking lot of a Buddhist temple clearing out lots and setting up FEMA trailers. Life changing for sure.
Are you beginning to see the similarities? MAGA domestic terrorism and Oil & Gas causing the destruction of our climate. It’s getting harder and harder to play ostrich.
Glad you're all back in the light! And of course you guys exist in a community that cares and helps each other. You seem like really great folks there at Casino. Hail Hail Rock n Roll.
Hey Guys. So a Fender Custom Shop question comes to mind. Would they build a 1952 Fender Champion lap steel? I've called a local Fender shop and they laughed and dismissed the question. Fantastic channel! Keep on keeping on.
I feel like they would (and I think the already have before), but it would have to be a Master Builder build and it would be expensive. I wanted to have the Custom Shop build me a first generation 1956-1957 Electric Mandolin, they were willing (and have actually built several over the years) as was Mario Martin/Guitar Mill (in Murfreesboro, TN), but they both wanted $10,000 to do it. I got lucky and got an actual 1957 for $4,000 at Carter Vintage the week after I had talked to the person at Mario Martin/Guitar Mill.
Glad that the lights came back on. I e experienced no power for up to two weeks during Sandy and for days when the power grid was knocked offline. Ain't fun. But like you said, good people make the most of tough situations and help each other. Would love to know what Baxter chose the amp and guitar he mentioned after the power returned. Subject or a future video? If you had to pick one guitar and amp after an emergency, which one would it be?
I lost power for over a week from hurricane Sandy I think it was 2012. The rest of the neighborhood got power back in less than a week but the line that went to our house got clipped. The last night that I was there I had no more batteries for radios it was nothing but me inside an old Sears house that had been built in 1920 (yes they used to sell kits that you could buy) I was so creeped out, I tried to play my acoustic guitar but the strings were basically frozen, I heard every creak and grown that old house made. The power came on the next morning besides being so happy I realized how much white noise is in our lives that we are unaware of. Happy you guys are up and running.
I really like all your videos about all the guitar information. Keep making them! I was wondering if the corporations would allow you to do a review of the Earl Slick equipment?
FIVE DAYS?? and it didn't devolve into lord of the flies? we went 4 days after a hurricane a few yrs ago and that was the most wild 4 days i've ever seen
So glad to see you have power up & running again! I used to do contract work for electric utilities & familiar with the basic workings inside a substation... this act of violence had to cost huge $$$ in just the damage to the power company alone, not to mention what it cost your community! My heart goes out to the people & businesses in your area, and I hope you recover quickly!!!
1000 to go until the greatest sports spectacle of all time. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Let's go Baxter. The power of the wrist compels you.
Glad your power is back, I have been through a week and half without power because of a bad storm a few years ago and it HELLA sucked!!!! I miss your daily posts too!
The cease and desist is more than likely to prevent them from talking about next year's limited run model - which was revealed to the buyers at the Greenie event. There might have been an NDA signed by the buyer.
Did you pick up the acoustics and other instruments you could play without an amp? Thinking of the Etchingham Steam Band, a group Ashley Hutchings (bassist and founder of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span) put together during a time of recurrent power cuts in England in the 70s.
I might have to take a pilgrimage down there from Virginia Beach. We went to Moog a couple of years ago and loved it. Something great about North Carolina Music Stores that we just don't have in Virginia
Yeah when the community pulls together, it’s something special. It can happen over something as small as cell and internet coming down, as with my neighborhood lol.
Have a contest. Have your viewers write their guess's as to who and why the power station was attacked. Open the entries on air after the perpetrators are caught and give away a Power Supply to the best guess.
I don't remember anybody helping anybody in the Texas blackouts, but then again it was too cold for Texas people (who aren't really geared up for that kind of weather) to even go outside. And the roads were covered in ice, too. Anyway, it was miserable. I'm sure you guys were pretty miserable a lot of the time, too. Glad your power's back on.
I dont know if it was related but our internet service and cell towers went out all day up in Lee county. We had no way of knowing because it was like Gilligan's Island, as primitive as can be. I played some bass, read a bit, and did a bit of maintenance that was overdue. Amazing what can happen when we push away from technology.
@@cageliner I heard that. It was interesting to see that guitar tore apart. They used shitty Gibson branded pots and didn't age the pickup cavities. For 50 grand those guitars need to be almost spitting images of the original. I can see why Gibson didn't want Trogly to get his hands on one. Jokes on them though because he got to check one out anyway lol
Now there's a thought. Also, rechargeable batteries and a solar charger. When I was young, some of my guitar friends had battery-powered Pignose amps, about the size of a can opener. We just thought of them as little portable noisemakers for parties or cookouts, or to carry out somewhere to jam or practice with. Or to power your travel guitar. I've never thought of a small battery amp before now as a backup during power failures.
I went through super storm Sandy here in Jersey . Seven days with no power but you must have felt that storm also . People did come together and help each other for the most part but there were the typical Jersey assholes and that's to be expected . Traveling around the country I have found that the Western and Southern states are much nicer than any other part of the Country . Anyway good to see you back up running and most Important everyone's safe
I TRIED TO HELP YOU GET HEAT... If you had natural gas heat and a car battery those guitars wouldn't have had to suffer ....they would have had heat... I was an engineer in the Marine corps I'm used to using battlefield tactics to survive
Glad you guys are back. I'd also love to hear more about Trogley. You guys are my morning show (sadly not every morning) and Trog (Austin) is every evening. He didn't say anything (pre-recorded I'm sure) last night.
I was so mad about the fake silver sky giveaway. I took out the power. You take away my dreams of a free silver sky I take away your dreams of flushing the toilet

(💜hope its going well all things considered), ...just like on stranger things, that major "event" that effected your area is probably an immensely important warning sign that the whole world should be aware of,...but "the event" and the good everyday local people that it effected will be barely noticed and quickly forgotten by the world at large, apart from a few "deep cut" political fanboys,...all i know about the last few weeks is that YE does not happen in a vacuum...

There's something in the water at Casino Guitars - everyone's hairstyle is somehow evolving in a variety of new and special ways.
Thank goodness for acoustic guitars. 😊
Glad to see you're back. Watchin' from AZ. Really enjoy the videos.
I'm glad everything is ok. I wish you well and a happy Christmas
Let’s go! Casino Guitars are back! ❤
Welcome back, folks. Glad everybody is back up and running.
Glad you all are ok and no damage at the shop. Some peeps go nutz and start to loot during this kind of occations.
That’s why they were there I’m assuming just in case people wanted a 5 finger discount.
How were acoustic sales?
So glad you guys are ok. This kind of stuff makes me angry, but I love you guys and glad you're keeping your chins up.
Greeting from Canada. Glad that you guys are doing well after the power out. I love your videos and I hope to meet you in person one day!
Welcome back, y'all!

It was almost time to start burning the Esteban emergency stash of guitars to keep warm.
I spent the night there right before Thanksgiving. I had never seen your videos then. I wish I could have visited your shop.

Aloha and Mahalo! Good thing you have acoustic guitars. Good your community came together and didn't have looting.
So glad to hear guys!
Thanks Baxter! Great advice especially on the sushi 🍣! Wait a day!
Glad you guys are back up and running
Heard about what happened. Glad you guys are back up.
Glad y’all are doin good. Great community you have there!!!!
Good to see you guys again and glad your power is back on.
Glad to see you're doing well !!
Glad your back with power !
Some great stories, glad you guys are ok!! --gary
avatar. can't wait to miss it. i'll miss it several times but that first time is special.
I went to see the first one twice - fell asleep both times and there are still parts I have not seen. 😂
Welcome back y'all. My wife would have me sleeping in the barn after about day 3 without a shower ;)
Glad you guys are back!

Usually it means BBQ's with neighbors and family to eat frozen food now thawed before it goes Bad
How long would the power have to be out before you start burning the guitars for heat???

Hey alright! So close to 50K!
Glad you guys are out of the dark.
The only avatar i wanna see is Ang, the last Avatar
Glad all is well at Casino world.
Love your videos
Def one of my fav guitar stores
The stores near me in Australia just no personality :-(

alrighT alright
good news 📰
you have powers
back on 😎
‼️⚡🎸⚡‼️
What happened to Jonathan?
I totally agree about taking a guitar apart. Please don’t do that if it’s not necessary. I believe in the mojo.
Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke
Why is it the crazies on either side are the most vocal? Glad to see y'alls power back on. I hope they catch the selfish yahoos that did it.
Yeah when the community pulls together, it’s something special. It can happen over something as small as cell and internet coming down, as with my neighborhood lol.

Happy the power is back on and hopefully “normalcy” comes back
Did you see a spike in acoustic guitar sales??
When you cannot get a shower, baby wipes are your friend. haha!
Thanks for the heads up about Troglys. Gotta check it out and fuck Gibson. If I buy something I can take it apart
Gibson wouldn't sell a Greeny to him 😀 He was refused.

Jonathan looks younger since he shaved. 😀🎸
Dude on the right looks like my Aunt. It had me think for a second, "but she doesn't play guitar."
What does music have to do with unkept hair styles?
Was it those pesky acoustic guitar companies that turned off the power?
Hmm, notice Johnny's suspiciously not around.........Coincidence?
Johnny had a mission from god
@@gckbowers411 Gotta love that guy
This is why you should always have a battery operated amp handy.

I heard about the attack from the Guardian (UK). Your hometown made headlines world wide!
did you have the urge to Jimi Hendrix a guitar to keep warm? Maybe you didn't get that cold.

You guys crack me, " Once you open that guitar up, it's never the same". It's electronics guys, not Elfin magic.

i did. 3 times. (dune)
The "thing" in the water is bourbon....
Hold up- you don't know who did it?
Klan gonna klan.
If I lived there I would’ve just spent 250 bucks at the grocery store then I would’ve had to throw away all the food that went bad in the fridge.
You should be able to eat all that at once, I mean 250 that’s like some milk and a pack of bacon now lol

I heard it was a couple of deer hunters not wanting to go back to work, so they shot at the power station.
Trogly has been a shill for the Gibson mod shop. Gibson takes their seconds, slaps some paint and new plastics and charges a premium. 🤷🏻♂️
Baxter, one of these days you are going to be in trouble for picking on your wife.. LOL
Baxter’s Mrs would have to watch the channel first 😂
Did the fbi ask if you did it over the hair comments?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! It fucking kills me when he takes the guitars apart. i cant watch him anymore.
49k...still giving away prs silver sky at 50k??
Eco-Terrorism most likely.
Baxter is a fake natty 😂
now you can stop playing your acoustic guitars
Glad to see you guys 'weathered' the storm and I'm sorry that happened to you. Hopefully, they'll catch and punish whoever did it.
