Thank you for the tutorial. Your English is perfect, and your tutorial was clear and concise. I will definitely be following you and I’ll attempt to make your design for the beautiful bucket hat. Greetings from UK 🇬🇧❤️
Although I’m watching this tutorial several months after you uploaded it, I “thoroughly” enjoyed watching it to the end and I clearly understood everything❣️❣️ In a few, I’m going to get started on my hat(s). Thank you for sharing with us. Please keep the tutorials coming.😊
I have watched this video a couple times now and I love it! I’m learning to crochet just to make that hat! I’ve watched lots of granny square videos and tried all the techniques but I love the way yours turned out the most! I know English isn’t your first language you explained better than lots of the other videos I’ve seen. You slowed down at the perfect times and I was able to follow along without having to pause a lot!
What's the measurement of the actual top of the hat by itself (the round part that is crocheted and attached to the motifs) before it's attached the hat? That'd be a useful measurement for making hat for different head sizes
After sewing the squares together and making the circle, How do you get the tails back to the top of the squares where the shorter side is, to then single Crochet around
Hi there, love your tutorial super appreciate your time into putting this together. Just 1 question: are there any rules for increasing the stitches in the top and brim parts of the hat? I am thinking of making the hat in different size so just wanna make sure if there's anything I need to pay attention to while applying it
@@kokkosknit Work the crown of the hat and the granny band in one piece so there is no sewing together needed. (I dislike having to sew when it's not necessary!) Don't worry about it, I will figure it out on my own. Easy peasy!
Hii there! What kind of yarn material did u use? Is it acrylic or polyester or something else? and what ply are u using? Can I use a bigger size yarn?? ❤
I’m working through this pattern (loving it so far!!) but I am wondering something- is the short side of the granny square (the side without the chain) the top or the bottom of the hat? I’m a little bit confused if the short side is getting the row of single crochets, or the long side? My tails for joining the granny squares are hanging down to the long side, but yours seem like they’re up to the short side when you did the sc row, so I think I’ve mixed myself up 😆
Hello! I'm glad you like it:) The short side of the granny square should be matched with the top of the hat! And as you finished the last rnd of the motif with no chain on the last side, which is gonna be the top of the hat, the tails should be hanging up to the short side!
Omg I'm facing the same problem the tail ends at the short side for each motif. But when we combine the motifs, the tail end up on the long side. So when we do the big sc row, we're stitching the longer side that is supposed to be the lower part of the motifs... I'm just very confused now 😢
Thank you for your video. I complete a hat yesterday. However, I would like to know how could I make the hat 1 size smaller? My hat has turned out with the same measurement as in your tutorial.
Thank you @@kokkosknit Appreciate your response💖💖. I will try using cotton yarn no 3 for next one. and use perhaps 2.5 hook. I was using size 3 hook with milk yarn. I would love to make a photo but I forgot and quickly gave to my niece as a present. 😒😒
Thank you! Do you mean by the size of the hat? Its circumference is about 22in., and the length is about 9in., the size depends on your crocheting tension, though :)
btw i dont understand when in the 14th row u said "why am i using 5.0 hook" does that mean it's too big or too loose? what hook should i use cuz im making it rn.
Beautiful hat, I appreciate your tutorial but, I’m confused on one thing with the pattern. How does bottom part of granny squares get 133 sc and top 112sc? I end up with same number for both sides 🤷🏻♀️
@@kokkosknit I guess. I actually joined my granny squares with no seam method that may be a reason. Any case my hat turned out great, I’ve figured to join all pieces together and happy with the result, thanks again for sharing 🥰
I really love this pattern but I am curious about something. my granny square is about 11cm wide so i am just worries if my hat will be a bit too big and just fyi I used a 4mm hook. (please reply as soon as you can)
when i am adding single crochet to the upper part of motif you say to crochet in the tail too but I don’t have any tail on the upper part only tail on the bottom part from when I connected the motifs together so am I missing something? because I don’t know where your tail in the video came from
The tail will only be in the upper part! Since the beginning and end of the last round of each motif are near the upper part of the motif, the tail should be only at the upper part...!!😮

Really cute hat BUT I am confused as to why you don't work the crown off the ganny squares and decrease down instead of having to do all that sewing!
