- The Schliebener Land agricultural operations are located in southern Brandenburg between Berlin and Dresden. In addition to dairy farming, there is also arable farming. The challenge here is very heterogeneous soils and little rainfall of around 400 l per year. The no-till method has been sown here for 6 years. The Primera DMC has been used for sowing for 4 years. The goals of managing director Björn Förster are:
Permanent covering of the soil with catch crops to protect the soil from evaporation

Minimal tillage
Conserve resources
For Björn Förster, the catch crop is an essential part of the crop rotation. Before almost every crop, an intercrop is planted directly after the combine. Depending on the crop rotation, the main crop is then sown directly or into the dead stand using the chisel share of the Primera DMC. The tines keep the catch crop on the field and protect the soil from drying out and evaporation. The catch crop also serves as a nitrogen supplier and ensures that humus is continuously built up. This not only saves valuable ground water but also time and resources!
Regardless of which farming method is used, the Primera DMC does an excellent job under all conditions. With its unique chisel coulter, it achieves the highest quality in terms of placement accuracy and seed embedding on plowed land, on cultivated areas and in direct sowing. Large amounts of organic residues from the previous crop or after green fallow can cause problems when sowing, especially on areas that have been tilled without a plow. Inadequate tillage, poor incorporation of organic material and poor leveling of the surfaces can also have a negative effect on the quality of the placement and the embedding of the seeds. The Primera DMC with its chisel share copes very well with all these conditions. The chisel coulter reliably clears organic material from the seed furrow, adapts perfectly to uneven ground and ensures the best quality when placing and embedding the seed with the correct coulter pressure.
