Irish bullfinches and bullfinches from the UK are the exact same birds. The siberian or Northern bullfinches are much larger and do not have the deep colouration of the Irish birds.
@@ailishbyrne3864 apple, pear, plum, hawthorn, blackthorn, rowan and almost any other buds you can come across, bullfinches are predominantly a bud eating spicies so they wont be too picky when it comes to buds but they do prefer those mentioned above
Hi Ger, there are a few breeders here in ireland, I do not know any that ser actively selling birds right now as they have selected their pairs for the up coming season. You might get lucky and find some pairs or spare birds. I would reccomend sticking an add on done deal maybe?
