Im 18 yrs old and I wish I was born in 60s so I can watch them and others like beatles in their prime. Im not satisfied in my generation with rap and hiphop songs
how sad seeing him singing alone on stage, thinking of what's on his mind while he is singing. and i think it is still flattering how people really appreciate and love their music. they are and he is truly a legend.
In away its sad but Barry is keeping his 3,brothers alive. Love them all ... Sad they are not here but they live on in there music . . The the bee gees families live on and are making music with their children. Love listening to Samantha Adam Steven and Spencer. It's special music.
This has to be one of the finest and saddest songs ever, every fan has their own reasons for why this song is so special, for myself,is the loss of my friend/sister claire, who lost her battle with cancer in 2013,she was a big bee gees fan,the lyric..the day i kissed your cheek and you were gone...captures the moment in the hospice,i was too late,i had traveled over 100 miles through snow/ice to reach the hospice to say goodbye,by the time i arrived, she had already passed away,i kissed her cheek, the song reminds me of those childhood christmases we had together, and the apple tree at the bottom of our garden.
he said he regretted that each of his brothers passed on whilst they were not in good terms. I remembered Robin was in Singapore doing a solo concert. Wish Barry a peaceful life.
Yes, their singing it's beautiful. I heard people singing in the church and that is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard! This live song performance from Barry and the lovely audience resemble that a lot.😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤ Fills my heart and spirit with Love and Joy.
Today is first of May,2022. .I have been listening to this song about 40 years ago. So I never fail to listen to this song every year for memorial day when I met BeeGees. This song will never fade away forever.
I don't know how Barry can keep from crying while singing this beautiful song.....he still sounds so good.....a gift to all of us. This is a classic song. What a legend! Goodnight, sweet prince.
I am a Bee Gees fan since I was 9 listening to Broken Heart. I worked at a steakhouse in Kennesaw, GA as a manager and we were getting ready for St Patrick Day. Laurie (a manager) went home to Ireland to get authentic beer and food. As I was getting ready for work, I was singing this in the shower. When Laurie hit the stage and started singing, it was this song.
Same here, watched Them at Loftus with My Dad. A week later I bought the One Night Only CD a week later and got asked by an Aunt and an Uncle, "Aren't the Bee Gees old. " Ironically There choice of Music on the main menu would be Beethoven, Mahler, Mozart, Bach, Wagner and so Forth. We don't call Them old, especially when those guys died before My Grandparents were even born. My taste is Eclectic. Don't call Bee Gees, Beatles, Stones, Queen, Moody Blues or any other Artists old. They're Modern Classics
When I was in the Navy of the Coast of Vietnam in 1972 we heard this song on Armed Forces Radio and it gave us a piece if home!! Thanks to the Bee Gees
Deze muziek doet je op de wolken drijven ,ze verbergt zoveel van toen we jong waren ,deze muziek mag nooit verdwijnen,en ze doet ons denken aan de voltallige bgees, onvergetelijk en te onarmen..
Years had passed away, but I still love this song till to day @ 2022! I love this song since when I was in the secondary school years 70s! Even it is a long time till now, this song still keeps on refreshing my youth time! The best to watch was when Robin Gibb performed his song!
I'm 53 and have loved the Bee Gees since I was 10 or younger. They have always been my favourite and it was their songs that got me through my teen years. This performance was spectacular. I've never seen them live and that hurts!
Este caballero es como un ángel , mí padre me los hacía escuchar desde que tengo 4 años , ahora 30 años después sigo haciendolo en honor a la memoria de mí padre fallecido , y es como un ángel cantandome
Had the pleasure of going to this gig...we won free tickets but would have happily paid to see 1 of my musical heroes - was in awe to be up close to who was the guiding light of the Bee Gees...so sad Barry is on his own, but during the gig he talked all about the Maurice, Robin & family, etc. - was a great night..
They really are good brothers loving each other so much. Barry loves his brothers so much. I think this love keeps all his brothers alive. He always says they're still here. And I believe. Because when Barry sings, he's really singing with his brothers. Very glad for your wonderful experience on that night!
Thanks Emile Crama for uploading this! I also was at the O2 in Dublin that night, but was seated so did not get as close as you to the stage. What an unforgettable night. It is wonderful to watch and to listen again to Barry and to all his fans. A truly memorable experience.
Yes, it was this song, First of May, which caused the break- up of the group in 1969. Robin wanted Lamplight on side A which eventually lose out to Barry's First of May.
Performing might be his ways of remembering his brothers. I'm sure wherever they are, they were very happy that despite the pain and longingness, Barry, still managed to cope those and still able to perform and pays tribute to their own songs. I'm also very proud that my 7 year old daughter appreciates their classic and beautiful music. She likes singing Too much heaven and First of May. Indeed no one could replaced them even if its 10 or 20 years from now their music will still live on and continuously touches the heart of many. I'm so happy that I was born listening to their songs.😊
I am a few days from 70, and this song makes me cry. I love it though. I think I have almost all of the BeeGees albums. So interesting how their music adapted through the years to blend in with current trends in music!
Astonishing how the band and orchestration is way better than everything 1987-2009... but it still can't top Andy Gibb touring with Mr. Mister in 1977... they reached an awesome high level.
Pretty song. Barry is so sweet the way he waves and acknowledges his fans. Love the way the audience sings along, as they do on all his songs on this tour even when he wishes they'd let him finish!
I never get tired and bored hearing the songs of the bee gees. However I am breaking my heart when I saw Barry alone on stage. I love. Bee gees forever.
Realized that it is indeed 1st of May today and this one that has always been a favourite of mine came to mind and I just had to listen to it (4 times) again. Sounding really good Barry, thanks for all the many lovely memories.
I play guitar, and it always fascinates me how some performers have clean, beautiful instruments (like his) while others bring greasy, scraped guitars with them to stage. Even from the "early" days of rock and roll, it hurt to see The Who, Hendrix, and others destroy their guitars for the sake of shocking entertainment while fans just screamed for more. I suppose that after you become rich and famous, you don't care, and you figure you can always buy more.
When I was small and Christmas trees were tall, we used to love while others used to play. Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by, someone else moved in from far away. Now we are tall and Christmas trees are small, and you don't ask the time of day. But you and I, our love will never die, but guess we'll cry come first of May. The apple tree that grew for you and me, I watched the apples falling one by one. And I recall the moment of them all, the day I kissed your cheek and you were mine. Now we are tall and Christmas trees are small, and you don't ask the time of day. But you and I, our love will never die, but guess we'll cry come first of May. When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall, do do do do do do do do do... Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by, someone else moved in from far away.

It's so cool that the audience sings along! It fills me with emotion.

Barry is great 👍
Olhando o passado, quando tinha os irmãos juntos, ele é muito forte, aguentando cantar o passando sozinho. Te amo Barry gibb
Now that's how you sing this song the best
one of the best singers in the world......
I love that blue Guild guitar and Barry and the Bee Gees were part of our life and he is a living legend like Paul McCartney.
Bee gees sú úžasní. Stále ich počúvam. Diky za videa.
OMG....this clip still grabs me and makes me cry, so heartfelt, Barry is so awesome
When I was small and Christmas trees were tall,
we used to love while others used to play.
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
someone else moved in from far away.
Now we are tall and Christmas trees are small,
and you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess we'll cry come first of May.
The apple tree that grew for you and me,
I watched the apples falling one by one.
And I recall the moment of them all,
the day I kissed your cheek and you were mine.
Now we are tall and Christmas trees are small,
and you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess we'll cry come first of May.
When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
do do do do do do do do do...
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
someone else moved in from far away.
