    I hadn't seen the Night Cat before. I like a lot of the Night Cat design. It looks more of a true hammock tent that even the Haven. I loved the hoops at the ends as opposed to spreader bars. I also loved the camo because I prefer to blend into the woodland environment. I hope the manufacturer isn't discouraged, keeps the good part of their design and iterates to improve it based on this honest feedback. I'm 6'2" tall and would like to use the Night Cat for ultralight motorcycle camping, where I'd prefer to sleep in a lay flat hammock but need to sleep on the ground when there are no trees - on the beach, in the desert, in the plains and above the tree line.

      To be honest the Haven is a much better product but the price does reflect that and like you said it's not much use without trees, so a bonus to Night Cat there. But sadly at 6'2" you have no chance of fitting in it comfortably. They do make a really good walking pole tent however that has quite a bit of room and a very generous porch. I reviewed their tent too and I fit in it fine at 6'1". Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment.

    I can see that is the main con of the hammock is the length. Shame that, cause it does look good. Great review gez and great effort also. Catch you soon 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    Really nice set up! Particularly like the bivvy set up, camo is perfect👍. Shame about the height issue though 😬. Good honest review Gez😊👊👍

    Nice test Gez
    Absolutely no use if you are 6’3” shame as it’s a good concept, bivy set up looked good
    Cheers Adrian

      Hey Adrian. Yeah it is a shame its not a foot longer. You can easily sleep with a summer bag in it which you just don't find with other bivy tents but it's also heavier than other bivy tents. Luckily Gavs only 5'10" so I'm giving it to him.
      Will be catching up on your newest video this weekend 👍

    I used mine last night in a storm! It did not leak one drop nor did it condensate! You have to set these up rigid!! Then the laying position is practically flat. …set straps 1.5 m from the ground! Key thing is RIGID!

    I like the camo, but night cat logo is a bit large. I'm a short man, so think bivvy would be like a Tardis for me . Very good review man, good job!👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

      The logo would be fine. But its a cammo with this bright white logo, defeats the purpose. Make the logo black or brown at least.

    • @MOpreppin
      @MOpreppin 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@nightcatoutdoorchange to color of the logo to something darker. People by camouflage for a reason. There shouldn't be a big white logo on camouflage.

    Great review there mate. I enjoyed it not sure if I'd buy one those hammocks myself as I'm a bit of a lump and need room to move and stretch. Haha. Keep the vids coming 🤘

      To be fair, it's fine for anyone 5'10" or shorter. The weight and width of a person won't be an issue, as it can hold 200kg. I'm 16 stone, and I toss and turn all night, and it just laughed me off. Appreciate the watch 👍👌🍻

      @@boyzinthewood1 I’m 5’11” 17stone + and I had the best sleep ever in a hammock, I had a sleep mat which moved a bit but for someone that gets claustrophobic, I didn’t have a problem. Very easy set up too. 😊👊🔥 good honest review 👍

      @boyzinthewood1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @ChiefScout_Outdoors I used a mat myself the first time and had the same issues with it moving. The under quilt solved that though. Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 👍👊👌

    I've just got one and I'm going to have some method (like straps) of pulling the pole ends closer together so I get more height when it's in bivi mode. I want more height when on the ground.

    • @boyzinthewood1
      @boyzinthewood1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm sure you could definitely fiddle with it to gain more height, and hopefully, it won't take away any more of the length in doing so, as it's already quite snug. Thanks for watching 👍

    With the door opened what is there to stop it dripping in when you want to get out in the morning if it's raining?

    • @boyzinthewood1

      In all honesty nothing at all. It's a bit of a gimmick in reality. I don't even take the tarp bit out with me anymore. I opt for just setting a normal tarp up instead.

  • @NoviceWildCamper
    @NoviceWildCamper ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Defo way too small for me that. I still don't think it looks stable as a hammock and defo too small as a bivvy.

    • @boyzinthewood1
      @boyzinthewood1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To be fair, there are no stability issues in its hammock setup at all. Genuinely, it was fine for that (once the bedding was put in). I'm a clumsy fool, and if anyone is going to fall out of it, it's me 🙃 but yeah, it's just too short for anyone over 5'10" Maybe they'll make a longer version but I wonder if that would banana too much 🤔👌
