I see people always getting this for an act 2 merc but never knew the properties. Looking at it, an act 5 merc does and have more flex than an act 2. You can place law bringer on the fastest sword on an act 5 merc and use a different sword for the other hand, like a head striker or a sazabi set.
This is actually a very useful polearm for the Act 2 Desert Mercenary for a Zeal Paladin (or Zealadin), especially with Fanaticism Aura as with fast attack speed, it can make the 33% chance for Decrepify to trigger faster, thus lowering physical resistance.

RT is pretty nice against physical immunes, but since i usually have a magical dmg-source its more of a nice to have instead of a must. Tbh the main reason i really like it is due to the survivability push to mercs ... especially not too good equipped ones or for chars, that cant help out mercs all the time ... therefor lifeleech on helmet AND weapon is really nice. Btw for some reason pretty much all of my RTs dropped from Baal.
I have a quenstion for you GGM: which one is better for Merc - Reaper/Gul face or Obedience/Vam Gaze Assuming I dont acttually need the Decry proc for my character, only for the Merc damage

Is this RT good for my elemental druid? I mean if my merc have RT and Treachery armour and Delirium for headpiece, would it be good combo? Tornado+Hurricane is psysical and cold damage for my elemental druid and i wonder if i make the right choice if i have my merc wear that?

Got my eth reapers toll in chaos sanctuary! Found non-eth earlier, got 232% ed 14% lifesteal but like my eth col voulge insight for my frenzy barb (no mana no problem)
this is very nice for a (mercenary) wind druid and a ww barb, i am lucky to have 2 of these. abdul and emilio helps me with physical immunes but not much help for stone skin.

very nice find, it is a very fast weapon and I am assuming for a merc then yes an ohm rune would be fine. This however is also an extremely valuable werewolf build item and is often socketed with a Zod Rune and used on players. It has a pretty high trade value in it's nearly perfect state.
I really struggled beating hell with my orb/wall sorc and insight merc. Now i can farm all act 3 bosses and pindle in minutes and diablo and baal are a bit easier too once i found a non eth reapers. Then about 2 weeks later found my 2nd one lol. Pits are way easier also and i don't miss the mana regen from insight. Orb/wall dosen't need to constantly spam spells. This weapon was a godsend for a newb like myself lol
This is a a must for a zeal paladin's mercenary , because it will breack the phisical imunity of some monsters and it is the only way to do that. So there is no other weapon better than this one for the zeal pala merc.
I sooo want an eth reapers. Found 2 non eth so far. Can't yet justify the cost of trading for 1. Love mr.chinchilla on you shoulder - so well behaved 😁

@@GGMentor Chinchilla's are very high maintenance but they're sweethearts usually. The dust they need to bathe in is also expensive. They're like little gremlins since you can't get them wet or they'll get fur rot. I loved the one my brother had but he ate something he shouldn't have and died.
Basically any runeword I haven't already done a video on. They are all in the runeword playlist. Most of the katar specific ones I haven't done yet I know for sure. Memory staff, hmmm I would need to consult my list haha but it's pretty short these days. I believe I am at 67 out of 80 so only 13 more to go.
Obedience is Extremely good, I am not gonna say it's directly better than reapers toll because RT has it's own special things going for it. However a Eth Obedience is a thing of beauty. It is one of the hardest hitting merc weapons in the game with 40% Crushing Blow, and a massive 40% Faster Hit Recovery which turns the merc into basically an unkillable god. The Enchant Attack Rating + the -25% targets Defense makes him basically never miss. It also gives him 20-30 All Res, and extra Defense. The Speed of the Mancatcher is also faster than the speed of the thresher base reapers toll is. Comparatively, The Decrepify proc gives the merc more utility, and the life leech on reapers means you don't need LL on a helmet or armor. However in general Obedience Mancatcher has higher CB, and is faster, which means it hits that CB more often. Obedience is also more accurate with -25% enemy defense and free Enchant as the Ignores Targets Defense on Reapers only works against trash mobs. Ignores Targets Defense doesn't work against any monster that might actually give him trouble. I.e. Bosses, Elites, Champions, ect. I think as far as weapons go Eth Obedience in a mancatcher is literally the best weapon for an act 2 merc if your gearing the merc specifically. In otherwords how can I give my merc the best equipment he can wear to make him good. Reapers is good, but it's more of a utility piece, asking yourself a question like do I need Decrepify spam? If you don't need decrepify, my personal opinion is obedience is better.

13:30 Berserker's Axe have a range of 2. Which makes sense since they are one-hand weapons. I believe he meant Cryptic Axe / Partizan / Poleaxe which do have a range of 3.
So this is a confusion of weapon range and range adders, where I am referring to range, and you are referring to the "Range adder" which is only half the equation. So base range is 1, 2, or 3 depending on monster size yes monster size. Range adders do not take into account base. So if a weapon says range adder 2 that is 2+ monster size = range "For players, range = rangeadder + size, where rangeadder is a weapon-specific constant and size refers to the target. The weapon pages list the rangeadder for each weapon. Monsters are either size 1, 2 or 3 (most are size 2 or 3)." Many weapons fall into the "Range adder 0" Category. Such as Daggers. These are consider Range 1 weapons. Where as the longest ranged weapons are Range 5. Or range adder 0, and range adder 4 However it's important to note that when fighting a size 3 monster ranger adder 4 becomes Range 7. However since monsters cannot be smaller than size 1 +1 is considered base + adder

It’s one of the best weapons for act 2 mercs in the game for many builds. You’re right, a zealadin would be awesome with this on their act 2 merc.

Yes Reapers toll works well with the Tornado druid because tornados are physical damage, and Decrepify lowers physical resistance.

No during Whirlwind you keep your defense and block, which is why WW is so powerful in pvp because it allows you to move to attack without penalties.

I found this and a G face the same day. Now my merc is OP. Got him in a dusk shroud Trechery, just need to make a fortitude now.

Reapers is incomparable to anything else for melee merc.
My merc stays alive & kills much better on my Hammer Pally using an Eth Tomb Reaver compared to its non-eth reapers 🧐
