  • This subject has been on my mind for so long i have to talk about it, i can't get the answers i'm looking for and the information needs to be spread. Another tree vlog where i spew my thoughts on things not a lot of people understand. I really hope some of you out there have been thinking about this too and i'm not just going insane and if you have please discuss with me in the comments.
This video is probably going to get a lot of dislikes because whenever i talk about thought provoking things or i make accusations about the government i get a lot of hate for it. So if you guys could Like the video so we can counter it that would be the greatest.
    See you tomorrow dudes!

:[ okay tbh i unsubscribed you Jason after i had seen 2 videos on the alligations because unfortunately i was under the assumption that you were guilty (until proven innocent instead of the other way around). Then today this video showed up in my suggested videos & for some reason i decided to watch it, & i'm glad I did because seeing that moment of like raw emotion or whatever convinced me beyond a doubt that you are an extremely caring person and it was so real like ugh & anyone who could care that much for something so positive & pure is most likely incapable of being a violent evil abusive person, at least in my opinion. & if i'm wrong & you are then please take this moment to reflect on what you did & do whatever you think is necessary to improve. It's never too late to change yourself.

I live with my parents who are hoarders. Being in a house thats that full of literal trash has caused me to develop panic disorder, depression, and O.C.D. the only place I don't feel anxious is out in nature. i don't feel stressed or caged or panic when I'm surrounded by trees and dirt. everything about nature calms me. the smell of the soil and bark and plants. the sounds of crickets and birds and the wind in tree. if it weren't for nature i would have succumbed to my mental illnesses and become a shut in or perhaps i would have ended my life. humans need nature. i wish we could all learn to be less selfish and help protect the planet we live in.

Dude, I really love this video a lot. The psychology of colours really intrigues me bc one of my closest high school friends got really into it our senior year and I appreciated everything he told me about it!! This video is amazing, anyway, with blue promoting a clear mind and green promoting peace and such I have come to realize why I am so much happier in my new home in Florida, I can go outside and see nature no matter if I'm near a city or not, there is so many lakes, and the ocean!! I've never really made the connection on why I'm so attracted to the water (mainly bc I can barely swim) but its bc its blue!! The sky is almost always clear, and if its not then I'm always amazed by the clouds!! Anyway, I really appreciate your videos, my mind has been so cloudy and I have been craving to go outside. You're amazing dude.

I was raised in a small quiet town which is surrounded by nature and 3 months ago I moved to London and that's when I started noticing that everything is gray and depressing. I found a park and was hanging out there so I could calm and relax cause I was going through a depression. You inspired me to dye my hair and I dyed it green. I found comfort in the little nature there is in London and that and your videos explaining stuff or going on adventures helped me feel better. And I did feel better but recently a friend of mine makes me feel bad about me having green hair and wants me to dye it black and to be honest I started listening to her and wanted to dye it black but now when I saw this video I changed my mind. I am keeping the green hair, I want to be happy and I dont care what anybody says. I love nature and want to keep my sanity. Jason thank you for doing videos and helping me cope with my life

But ever since i have discovered i have adhd, i understand that i can't fight against modern life and that no matter how much i travel, run, and try to escape ill never be able to. In you i recognize a lot of adhd symptoms, and believe me if you try and get help, your life will be more consistently better. You wont have as many harsh down periods. No more depression, no more clustered mind, no more sensitivity to sounds, no more delusions and anxiety

  • @Shanti_S

I absolutely love you're videos!!! Everything you say about the human nature experiencing life without colour or vibrancy is so unbelievably true because rid you're stuck in the cycle of everyday routines and bland colours, you will be depressed and miserable because you're not experiencing what life has really to offer and enjoy. If I ever go into a daze then I try and wake up again even if that means going for a walk with my dog away from everything, and it feels overwhelming that I can escape and appreciate the beauty around me that's nature and it's all free to enjoy and relax in if even if it's a few hours a day. This is why I watch you're videos because you understand everything that goes on around everywhere but most of us are just to blind to see because we're trapped in a routine each day. Thank you for making these videos because you truly are one if a kind!!!

What you're saying makes so much sense! Last month I was camping in sweden for a week and there is so much nature and colour! I felt so good and inspired there. On one point I felt like I should touch one tree and I did. Even remembering it makes me feel good. First I thought it would be weird, I would be weird, and that's just because it isn't "normal" to touch/hug/climb a tree. And watching this video explains to me why. Beeing there in nature was so beautiful that I felt calm and peaceful the whole time . But being back in the city again changed my mood almost instantly. Today my parents and I are going out in nature and I'll enjoy every minute. Thank you so much for your videos!

Really loving the videos recently! They help me feel happy because it makes me think that one day we will be able to change the world for the better, I think that also a big difference between cities and nature is the fact that you can get much more sunlight in nature than in the cities, because all the buildings are so big that they cast everything into shadow and any bright colours that are there get dimmed and put down so they aren't as effective. I've also noticed that people with more colour in their lives are often the happier ones.

  • @katesoky8805
    @katesoky8805 8 ปีที่แล้ว

I 100% agree with everything you said. Most of the colours are nonexistent in our surroundings.. I even subconsciously made everything in my room dark. Every single time I lay on the grass and look at the sky I feel incredible peace. But then I get scared of it and go back.. It is so scary that we choose to just survive in dull colours instead of actually living in the bright world..
But your videos always give me lots of energy and inspiration so thank you very much for that :)

You're videos are some of my most favourite videos on youtube. I was having a really crap day, feeling empty, and this video really helped to calm my mind and open my eyes to the fact that those feelings can be easily dealt with. I know from experience that whenever I go into nature and just explore and do whatever I feel at the time, I instantly feel refreshed and at peace, and I start to feel the way the Earth communicates and nurtures us (they don't call her mother nature for nothing) :) thank you for reminding me that nature is always there to help - it really made me sad when you started talking about how people sometimes take it for granted.

WHAT ABOUT METALHEADS JASON? I'm not complaining, just kidding. A metalhead tends to wear black clothes, the same things I wear but I am happy! Metalheads are happy! Apart of all the beautiful colours of the world, one important thing is to be yourself and if you want to wear black you do it. People are not happy in their cities just because of the colours but also because they're scared to be themselves, they think too much about what the others think forgetting that what they think of themselves is stronger. People are scared and how can't you be scared in a world like this?
by the way, you'll be my favourite youtuber forever Jason!

I completely get what you're on about. I live in the UK myself and I see it all the time. The sad thing for me is all my friends live in grey places, they all live in towns. Whereas I live right next to a forest, it's literally my garden and I'm always so happy and content here. What I'm trying to say is that when I'm around my friends houses I'm never really happy because I'm not used to the colours that they see because they're different to the ones that I've seen all my life. Thank you for letting me see that clearer.

You've really inspired me today. So provocative and genuine. I think about these things constantly and post them on social media. I've wanted to make vlogs for a long time but I'm not comfortable with my appearance yet - I've come a long way body image wise and I hope one day I can sit up a tree somewhere and talk like this! It's so awesome that you are asking these questions and opening people's eyes.
So much to think about, really interesting. I'd never thought about a conscious choice of colour, just assumed grey and black were cheaper building materials... but the Government don't care about our health or wellbeing medicinally, financially etc... so it would make sense. I totally agree about the alcohol. Happy people don't need drugs, people who need drugs need drugs to be happy.
I grew up on a farm and during that time my mental and physical health was really good considering - barely ever got sick despite rolling in dirt and kissing the animals and at that time my dad was attempting suicide about once a month . I think my environment really helped me to develop coping mechanisms, nature helped me to see things in perspective like the insignificance of my temporary plight and the animals were really comforting :)
Also, I'm a prime example of an A* student who in hindsight still thinks the education system sucks :p
Also, in support of your effects of colour theory - colour therapy with a kinesiologist really works as an emotional tool! (google kinesiology if you haven't heard of it, changed my life!)
So much more I could write here, we would have insane conversations.
P.S. love how you talk about grey & black being negative whilst wearing a black shirt :')

my parents always say 'emily, go outside! you never go outside, you're just sat in your room' and honestly, it's because i hate living in a town. you have to drive to get to proper nature which i can't do and my parents aren't willing to do either. the only proper nature i get is like 4 days every 2 weeks and it sucks because that's when i'm truly happy, but my parents think i'm crazy because of it and they think that i'm just being 'some kind of emo'...?
i hate concrete and i hate pollution, which my town has alot of both.
i agree, colour has A LOT to do with happiness, so do surroundings, as i have found out - in nature i'm happy, i'm myself. in town, i am not happy at all and i hide away...
    i'm ranting ahahaa..

Sometime I feel like crap when I don't get the chances to go outside. On your last video I commented and said that your videos make me appreciate nature more and whenever I watch your videos it makes me want to go outside more and more. And I especially want to go to Wales because it's my favourite place on the entire planet. But the one thing I've always said is "The first chance I get, I'm going as far away from here as possible" simply because I seek for adventure and to explore somewhere new.

YES PREACH! This is like my favorite video ever. I'm studying interior design bc it's soooo true that your environment affects how you feel, it's a huge part of your quality of life! Now I'm only focusing on indoors, but I would agree that the government is PART of why cities are grey. Buildings and architecture is not necessarily controlled by the government but my guess is that grey and other neutrals are chosen because they are cheaper? So I don't really think they are trying to keep people depressed but who knows. I completely agree with the noise pollution thing. I can't stand too much noise because it drives me nuts when I can't hear myself think. So with interior design, acoustical privacy is considered. Interior design is not just making your house pretty and decorated, it's so much more and it's protecting the health, safety, and welfare of people. Trust me, you are not overthinking this. I'm SO glad you shared this because it's important! There are professions dedicated to it and I think people don't understand it or just don't know much about it so it's awesome to spread this information. The hard part with it is money, people and businesses may not have the budget to get a designer and make their space so much more functional. Schools might not be colorful because again, plain stuff is cheaper. On the bright side, there's a huge part of the interior design industry focusing so much on sustainability and eco-friendly materials, and it's always a plus to be able to make a connection between outdoors and indoors. Sorry this was so long, I'm just so passionate about it and I could talk about it forever! Thank you for making this video!!

Awesome video! I liked this, and I liked you bringing up comment in the video. I'm proud of you, man. I actually work easier in my house at my moms house and write better there because it's more colorful. My room at my dads is white and black.I put fairy lights up to make it more lively, but I still find it... Bland. However, there is a little park by my Dads. I walk through it all the time (barefoot!), when I'm stressed, and there's one tree I can climb. I made it a goal to climb the tree every day to gain muscle so I can climb more trees. Another inspiration from you! I'm also a vegan now... Because of you. Thanks, man. You've just changed my life for the better, and those are just a few things you've inspired (:

When you were talking about the colour green and talking about the sky and stuff, I turned to look out my window (I live halfway up a hill in the countryside so there's a load of trees around and no buildings in my view) and I realised that I have so much blue in my room.
I've got blue bedding, blue curtains, blue jeans on my floor, a blue deodorant can, a blue hoodie, a blue cage for my mouse, blue teddies and ornaments, blue boxes, blue toys for my mouse, a blue mat for my mouse cage, a blue cushion and a blue blanket. My walls are grey but it's a light grey which I think is quite nice and kind of relaxing, as is the blue. I've also got a lot of white in my room as well, probably a similar amount as there is blue. I've also just realised that the folder and notebooks that I have for sixth form in September are blue as well. Even my purse and oil burner is blue and the wax I have in my oil burner is blue. I did not conciously realise how much blue is in my room until this video. this is kind of amazing.

I really agree with all that you've said. Nature is the source of medicine and it is sad and it gets me even furious at times when i come across all the illusions they put out to lure people who do not realize it into pharmacy and all of their drugs.
thank you for making these videos and for sharing your thoughts, with me its the same, it helps me even evolve my thoughts and ideas even more when i speak them out, so keep it coming. you give out positive vibes and discuss things that matter, again, thank you for that!

I totally agree with this, whenever I'm in nature I feel happy and relaxed, and when I'm in the city I'm feeling very depressed 😩 But whenever I'm depressed and can't go outside I watch your videos and they make me feel much better, so thanks 💙💚💙💚

I love the whole colour psychology, I think its so interesting that different emotions and feelings and mental states are associated with colors. That's why I painted my room forest green because as someone who spends a lot of time in my room, I get home from school into my room and I'm instantly calm. I'm never angry or negative in my room, it's a sanctuary and is so beautiful to wake up to even when the sky is grey and the trees are sleeping

so i am in a Psychology class in school right now and this will be an awesome thing to talk about to my teacher! I Have always thought that colours affected how you felt. for me i never wanted a plain room with beige walls. if boring! i want olives and bright sienna. my wall are beige right now and i want to slather paint on them to make myself feel happier. the boredom that comes with the walls can drown out an amazing thought and replace it with sadness.

Ive never been diagnosed with depression but there was a point in my life where i was doing terrible harm to myself and i was just sort of stuck? I decided to go on a walk one day and it genuinely made me feel so happy and free! Nature reduces and calms my stress and anger and just puts me in such a good mood. So now everyday i try to go on a walk and surround myself in nature, its honestly my favourite thing. i completely back what Jason is saying and in my opinion he's 100% correct. so if you want to take something from this video, do what Jason has said and go and explore! it doesn't even have to be far! you never know what astonishing things you may find and encounter :))

i feel the same way in the winter. The sky is grey, its cloudy, cold, and bland. And im stuck in school. it puts me in a sad, emotionless funk. I cherish nature and the warm sunny weather in the summer as much as i can :)

Nature really is the cure for a shitty mood. There's really no way to be in a terrible mood when you're surrounded by so much beauty and serenity. And also try to remember that even the rain can be a good thing. Of course the sunny days are better for adventuring and the rain just seems like a menace, but it keeps our planet beautiful and hydrated. Not to mention the rainy days help us to appreciate the sunny days so much more when we have them. Sending good vibes always. ✌

I honestly agree with what you said. Right now I'm still living at home with my family and it has been hard living there since they're so close minded. I do realize that not everyone will agree with me or think like me, but home is sort of my safe place and it's filled with bad vibes. Also, I just had surgery on my foot so I can't do much. Anyways thanks for sharing your thoughts and maybe you should travel to old town San Juan, Puerto Rico sometime; the buildings there are painted pastel colors!
Some other random thoughts of mine: most people don't think of where their food, clothes, or any purchases come from. Or people don't think about where their trash goes and how it affects the environment. Also with school starting up, students sit there and believe everything the teacher tells them without questioning the information. Sorry for the ramble, I just needed to get some of my thoughts out of my head (like you said haha).

i totally agree with everything you said. i remember when i was having a real hard time and there was this spot i could walk to, surrounded by trees and looking over a giant lake and park. Truly beautiful especially when the sun went down - making the sky purple and the trees golden. it was literally the only thing that helped me be the happy person i am today

I totally agree with what you are saying!! May I also add that if the towns are grey and they make you depressed then people normally go talk to someone who will give them prescription drugs, and for anyone who has been on prescription drugs it makes you numb and stops you asking "why" and just makes you feel like doing the same thing everyday is okay, and at the end of the day prescription drugs come back to the government just like the colors of the towns they all go back to the government. Makes you question a lot of things.

  • @elysiacampbell7431

I totally agree. I feel the most happy and at peace when I am outside. I am extremely grateful live in a country type of town. You made me realize why I always feel so down when I am in cities and it all just makes so much sense now. I've always questioned everything, why people are homeless, why police can break the law without consequences, and why everything is so bleak. I am so curious as to why the government wants to do or make everything so depressing and wonder how they could 'fix' society. They say that things need to change but they are not making any move to change anything. This is just my opinions and thoughts on everything. Sorry for the paragraph.

I never really post comments, however I thought it was necessary I did on this video. I feel like the things you're talking about are so true, so relevant. Everything nowadays in England seem to be grey and dusty and shut down. There doesn't seem to be any colour. However when I go exploring with my dog, I start seeing the colour. I see the green of the leaves, the shimmer on the water and it is amazing, incredible, my Instagram is full of my adventures. My depression seems to pause when I'm surrounded by nature it's so calming. And I agree with the government conspiracy, they're trying to keep is in this depressed state. How can we trust them? I don't get it. All I'm trying to say is I completely understand where your coming from and it's videos like this that give me hope. Thanks Jason. Really love you lots x

I wish youtubers could tell when people are adding their videos to custom made playlists. Every sentence mentioned in this video is something I resonate a lot with and yeah, there are a few more vids out there like that and I decided to put it on a little playlist of "inspiring videos I've seen" instead of just "like" and add it to the hundreds of vids ill never have the time to even look over again... It's kinda sad that the level of interaction seems to be going down when it probably isn't. Oh well, people might not wanna hear the hard truth... That's typical.
Keep up the inspiring outlook. :)

I often find myself deep in thought and then breaking down because I think about how beautiful the world is and it breaks my heart that some people don't really care, don't see the true beauty in the world... they could Care less. we're destroying the earth slowly and it scares the crap out of me. It kills me. I don't want the beauty of the world to die due to our arrogance .. idk I just wish more people got it. I wish more people understood what we're doing to the earth so we can save it.

  • @jidgetwidget3057

During this past week I've realized that my current environment has been negatively affecting my daily life. I haven't been able to leave the house and go out to nature since I had knee surgery over a week ago. And since I've found that my access to things has been severely restricted I've lost interest in everything. My depression and anxiety have come back stronger throughout the week. And honestly I hate it. I do believe that being out in nature and colours affect your mood significantly. But I also think that if your surroundings constantly lack colours; you need to make colour. Even though the sky is grey doesn't mean you have to limit yourselves to that. Make the sky any colour you like, begin to see and feel the colours in your mind. You don't have to be stuck.
