As much as I'd like to see Tenshinhan do more, it was probably the best decision for the narrative. Not only is his innate skillset very broken for the earlier arcs if fully realised but he'd lose the contrast he has with Piccolo if both have similar arcs of fully moving beyond their past selves; Piccolo in some ways showing how Ten could be if fully changing his approach and vice versa. That said though, a bone might as well have been thrown Ten's way in Super when UI Roshi shows a character's narrative role no longer matters or, at the very least, allow him to spiritually succeed through becoming a mentor to someone.

I was trying to recommend you a channel by the name of "GodslayerSeiya" who has a video showing a statement from people involved in Heroes and Xenoverse that the games were not connected to Online and merely expanded upon the concepts and took their own spin. It's in their oldest TH-cam shorts video and the person has a Heroes pfp.
