2:10, in that guy's defense, fighter pilots in the Second World War would typically nose down while applying full throttle and, depending on that caused the fire, the high speed winds would sometimes extinguish the flames. But I would imagine that the tactic of applying more speed, and thus more airflow, usually doesn't work too well when the fire involves a ground-based vehicle.
