After some struggeling with settings both solutions work out fine finally. I prefer Voice-in because it's faster. I combine it with "spellboy.com" , a German website (for free!) like "grammarly", which is a pretty good combination.

where do i go to learn how to translate and transcribe on the freelance platforms? i currently give language classes on zoom. the skills i am interested in taking up are transcribe text, subtitle videos, translate videos transcribe videos.

Hey Matt! Thank you very much! No, you don't need a foot pedal for these websites. That's an option for many, but they have short keys and buttons you can use instead. :)

Jennifer you're the best. I used to use otter.ai for some of my files but it's recently stopped the free 600 minutes you get for importing a file. I guess this is the next best option now. Thank you loads for this.
@@JenniferMarieVO That was just last week. You're now only allowed 3 imports and that's it. You can still get the free minutes but I believe that is for just speech to text and not audio to text or you upgrade to their premium account to be able to import files.

I had some guy get super angry on my otter tutorial a few days ago saying I was lying to viewers and not telling them it was only 3 imports, so I had no idea what he was talking about since it's always been free. I'm going to try to find an alternative to otter.

Thanks! Well, most transcription websites you have to do on a laptop/PC that I am aware. If you can hear audio clearly through a mobile phone earphone, that's fine. It just depends on the quality of the audio if you'll be able to hear okay!
Waw, this is the perfect solution for me as well, because English is not my first language and I do have a significant level of pain in my wrists; besides I am not sure of the spelling of a lot of words, and I do need to be checking my spelling all the time. I am trying to get a job as a Transcriptionist, but I do not know what their expectations are and to tell the truth - I have never seen anybody actually doing transcriptions, so I am a complete newbie in this field. But if it is so easy to use software for Transcribing, why the clients are not doing it themselves? Am I going to be able to find jobs as a Transcriber, especially now during this Pandemic? I have lots of videos on different transcription websites for beginners. I recommend trying Scribie to start. Even though there is a pandemic right now, they have lots of jobs available. Rev captioning as well. Clients don't do it themselves because it does take time, and if they get paid more producing videos than transcribing, why wouldn't they outsource it? Good luck! :)
The copy and paste feature does if you transcribe speech to text directly into the speechnotes website then copy and paste over to Rev. The extension also works to transcribe directly into the dashboard but it is a little slow in Rev. It works better in the other platforms especially TranscribeMe, QA World, Crowdsurf, Scribie, etc.
Hello! There are some websites that don't allow transcribers to download the audio and then run the audio through an audio to text software. But this is entirely different, since this is literally just you repeating what you hear. You aren't uploading any content of theirs so it is fine to use.
