What a terrific place to visit and enjoy time with family and friends!!! We love taking the train to Illescas from Malaga. The train takes about 2 1/2 hour instead of a 6 hour car or bus ride. It’s a very smooth, comfortable and scenic ride. We hired a driver through booking.com that picked us up right at the train station entrance. The cost is minimal and so worth the price.
Illescas is a sweet little village near Madrid. It's a better fit for us because we don't care for the large cities but close enough to spend the day in Madrid or Toledo. This little town has everything we need and it is not full of tourists which is perfect. We stayed at the Hotel Real which we booked through Expedia.com www.hotelrealillescas.es/
