On the copper pipes on the top, bring a grinder. Grind the threads in a vertical line down to the steel and that will break the tension and they'll spin off with no problem!! For the ramp, leave the plywood on for privacy and nail or staple some roofing on for traction! 👍 Stay safe!! 👊

its just too much work and too time consuming for me. I have lots of other work to get to that is more worth the time in my opinion. 👍
Thats the only reason the wood was on the ramp was for privacy reasons and I like that idea! probably even better then grip tape

Apparently. we all have different ways of doing it. me i would be pulling the copper out of the power vent, taking the aluminum gas meters off and taking the yellow brass from behind that too. i took in $250 worth of yellow brass last week that just came from behind that gas valve only. bad part is i think i lost my favorite plumber that was giving me 5-8 heaters a week, so my endless water heater supply came to an end. he was a good customer for about 6-7 years or so. .

Yeah for me its too time consuming I have lots of other jobs right now that I should be getting to that are more profitable. if things were slow id take more off. I still take off a few things that are easy or I figure are more worth my time. aka some furnace parts, any easy copper or brass..

yeah each person does things a little different depending on their business and their preferences. Damn sorry to hear you lost a long time customer like that. why did they leave or choose another method to get rid of them?
I do this pick up every Monday from one company and typically have between 15-30 tanks plus ac's and furnaces each week. been working with them for years too hoping to keep it going! lol

Some grip tape from sk8 boards will help on the traction. ✌️

The mesh itself will be slippy too when it's wet. Grip tape is a good idea.💪

I use to have no wood on it and it is a whole lot better then the wood lol. may try grip tape first though

Amateur. Remove copper and Brass before loading, or wherever you 'get' them.
