Glad you found something you like mate. The legs on the base look longer than the iFootage so it should be more stable, also as you showed you still have the ballhead on the bottom, that will be handy for uneven ground.
The Cobra 3 is a very good Monopod, I've recently reviewed the Fotopro X-AIRFLY Monopod and it's even better than this Innorel Monopod. th-cam.com/video/cYCvMiKxAjk/w-d-xo.html
Funny you released this video today, I just order this very monopod for the same reasons for bird work. I also have a great Innorel carbon fibre tripod. Buying with the video fluid head option was an extra $60 compared to $90 buying it separately.
Thank you, I did look at buying this monopod with the F60 Fluid head, but I wanted the F80. But they didn't want to do a combo deal with this monopod and the f80 fluid head.
Hi Charles! Great video, as always! As I have the same Nikkor 200-500 mm lens but not yet a monopod ( I'm considering the Innorel you reviewed), I'm curios to know what you use to attach the lens to the ballhead. I understand most people replace the collar completely. Is this what you did too? Thanks!
No! I didn't replace the collar of the lens. I bought a cheap generic L Bracket ($12) that's suitable for Nikon D7**** series cameras, and removed the vertical plate. And I just screwed the base plate to the lens. Something like this. www.ebay.com.au/itm/395406574217
another thing is there are some places that won’t let you use a tripod, especially indoors, but monopods are okay. Also when hiking on more crowded trails where a tripod would get in the way but the smaller footprint of the monopod makes working in crowded area less of a hassle for everyone
Yes, that true and that's also one of the reasons that I bought this monopod as we're going to the Snowy Mountains in June and I'll be able to take it with me.
@@Astronomynatureandmusic Like I said I am 186cm in height. The Monopod with the feet attached measures 173cm in height. with my camera attached to the monopod, I have to reduce the height of the monopod to 162cm if I don't use a tripod head. But I use a LEOFOTO VH-10S Tripod Head which further reduces the monopod's height to 153cm. Hope this helps you understand my rationale.

Yes, I really like this monopod
Congratulation on your new gear
Thank you🙏
great ! watching your video after long time.
Thanks for watching, much appreciated 🙏
I bought the Cobra 3 to hold a spotting scope or a camera. The price has reduced enough to make it worth it. It works well so much quicker to use.

I'm sold. I'll wait until it's back in stock and buy from your link though.
That's great, I am sure you'll like this monopod.

CAUTION: if you are taller than 1m82, it's going to be too low to look into the viewfinder.
I'm 186cm and I can't extend the monopod to its full height.
@@CharlesNPhotography Okay - looking the thing up online and it mentions max length 1m82. So, kindly asking: what ís its full length?

Okay! Thanks so much for taking the time.

Thank you, my reasoning as well. 😉
