Trump, no doubt unwittingly, does an amazing thing.

I apologize for not adding anything of substance to this important discussion, especially since I'm still quite young and ignorant to how everything works on a bigger scale, but thank you for the videos you've made thus far. As someone who will surely be affected negatively by Trump's presidency-- as will many others-- it is somewhat comforting to know that there is still a small, yet fierce group of people fighting for some semblance of peace and common sense. Take care of yourself and stay safe ❤

No need to apologize. You too. Study a martial art.

speaking of an assembly of the people, it is quite strange to think that pre-revolution France actually did something better than us, since they had the estates-general. Even though it was extremely rigged, at least they had something that ordinary people would go onto and vote directly. We spend so much money maintaining a congress and massive bureaucratic organizations to have a system of checks and balances when a direct democracy would not require any checks and balances. However, that is just a thought, and it exists in a perfect world where ordinary working people have time to sit down and read a bill before driving to the polls to vote on it, and those people don't just skip the whole process and vote based on party lines.

and woman voted ! Louis 16 was taken down by the bureaucrat of paris because he wanted to generalize the local democratic procedure, in 1870 after napoleon the 3rd lost french people of the "commune de paris" tried to build a régime based on the pre-revolution local democracy, they all got killed but karl marx used it as a form of base for his utopian communist theories

A veteran of two wars and a defender of Guantanamo Bay, as well as one of war crimes. So yeah, it's democratic and real to "American spirit", but he's another imperialist.

Yeah. Still, unwittingly, the most democratic thing that's happened in a while.
