What an amazing dinosaur, it truly does feel like THE one to rival the Giga. While the Giga is all about brute strength and nothing more, the Carcha has a lot more utility to players with its roar, tail spin, and frenzy mechanic. Hats off to Wildcard!
It even can because of the 10 minutes timer u get when in friendly mode it has its wild stats

What would be even better if Wildcard added Giga’s most related cousin the Mapusaurus which is just as big
If Wildcard added the Mapusaurus, I want it be just as big as a giga or Carcharodontosaurus but the big difference being the spawns put two of them in the same location

That last battle shows what makes this thing so dangerous. It gets it's little stacks and it starts rampaging through units that used to be holding their own.

@harlylwis it actually was the biggest carnivore to ever walk the land. New studies and bones show how big they are. Carc is small than Rex. Giga is only taller but not as muscle or bone dense.

@@aintezy I was testing Carchar earlier and it's attack isn't very high with a level 75 tamed being only 65 attack. It's high health and medium speed make up for it but the taming effort takes a lot of time. But in a way it could be like a video game brothers scenario like Mario and Luigi. Where the younger beother is shorter and stronger but the taller older brother has other key attributes. Like Luigi's jump would turn into Carchars blood rage and Aoe.

as someone who tested it, a carchar with even 1 stack of bloodlust, the regen alone means a low level tamed can rival a wild giga in 1v1 as it's near indestructable

This is probably the best ark dinosaur model I have ever seen, mainly because it's a perfect balance between being realistic and fictional. Apart from the size and the spikes, it's pretty accurate, and it even has lips. The animations and sounds are also really good.

@@leroyengels9597 Yeah. I honestly wish more ark designs were like this. Staying mostly accurate to the original creature while adding some differences. Luckily, Ark 2 seems to be doing that, so I have hope.
@@kade-qt1zuHonestly even the spikes aren't that bad. Carchar relatives were shown to have large quilly spikes among some members, it's just a wee exaggerated. It's the style of old ARK in the artstyle and vision of the newer team, and thats why I love it

Carcar has a rage meter which stack to 100 kills and it pretty much triples the damage so you could try that

The result would have been different if giga had its bleed.

Now that the Carcharo is here. I want either a final ark free for all with all dinos (ark additions included) or a final ark race with all Dino’s (again, with ark additions) to celebrate arks last creature for ark 1

The Carchar can fit in the tek cave btw.
gigas cannot fit through the entrance of tek cave but can fit through all the rest of the cave is what I do know. As long as you have a cryopod to help gigas get over the entrance they are still the better choice to clear out the tek cave due to their higher base damage and health mutation bonus (they gain astonshingly 16000+health per health mutation which is crazy)
No that’s with a imprint only that the health Doubles, any hatched and fully imprint will go from 16k-18k health to 32k-36k health, a mutation is simply the same amount as putting in a level or 2 between 30-50 health gain per it’s not worth it
@@Jarray No, they get 80 HP/mutation. Also you can't use cryos in or near the tek cave.

@@zealander. Are u sure? I always play PvE with PvP mode (my main role in ARK is breeding and it is easier to kill unclaimed creatures)

What mod did he use for the Roman Legion?
For anyone curious about damage of giga vs carcha, at the same melee Stat and no imprint, gigas did around 80 and carchas did half. A carcha with 100 kills (Max blood rage) heals around 100 or more per second and does around 115 damage
im guessing it could solo a reaper if it were to activate its frenzy sooner and maybe get a really bigger chunky of gigas health
also, if it were to stack to full 100 kills and get its 2.5x damage

The giga still is the apex predator, The carchar is probably the middle ground between the rex/acro and the giga.
Overall base carchar is still vastly inferior to a Giga. To stack up to gigas you need to build up your bloodrage which makes carchar a situational dinosaur, its good and with enough time or a good strat it can beat a giga but overall... No the giga still the apex.

I think adding new dinos with interesting new abilities is cool and all, but I still just want more big dinos that are scary with bites and thats it, like rexes and gigas

Carcha in Blood rage mode can destroy even a Giga
T rex , Spino , Indominus should be at the same size with Giga and Carcha , also I want to see Acrocanthosaurus too
I was so glad that the giga is still the apex. Thought this Dino would claim the spot but the giga rightfully deserves to hold it
the carchar at full blood rage does like 55% more damage than a giga. That's at full rage though. They should nerf it a bit so it's more in line with the giga.

@@aldogaming1838 The carchar in blood rage doesn't attack other dinos. The blood rage is the buff that stacks up to 100 times. It's not like giga rage.

@@aldogaming1838 carchar without blood rag will still enrage a giga which thus looses 30% armor, 30% damage, and bites slower. With blood rage it utterly slaughters the giga.

How ironic. In the real world Carcha and Spino lived in the same place at the same time in the middle of the Cretaceous in Africa. But in the real world, Spino is longer than the Carcha but it is smaller in the Ark game.

You know there's a problem when a T-Rex is considered an ankle biter. 😂
Obviously this Giga will be a winner in a fight if its a 1v1. Giga has insane base dmg and the bleed.
But the Carcha is definetly a very strong creature to be finally added to the game.
Its Wild variant has 10k less health than the wild Giga, and has lesser dmg, but its attack speed what its main factor is.
It attacks allmost twice as fast as a Giga, and this guy gets stronger and stronger the more it kills (caps at 100).
Its tamed version is the same as the Giga's it will loose most of its stats but, you can eventually give it extra 500 dmg if you stack up 100 kills to it, so it will outdps a tamed Giga. Levelling health isn't worth if for this dude wich is a shame tbh. (gets around 10 points into Health per level, same as Giga.)
I was hoped for a creature who would have 40-50k hp who won't lose any stats so that It would truly rival the Giga, or just a creature who would be stronger than the Giga, but this creature, yet outclassed all my expectations. Look how awesome it looks!
Yet I am satisfied with this creature. It has a lot of mechanics, looks awesome and sounds awesome.
Thankfully you can breed it, you can give it a saddle, so you can armor it. You can stack mutations of it.
Altho I don't know if with higher levels into its dmg, will the Frenzy stack give more dmg rather than just 5 per stack?

1 of them has a carcharodontosaurus bite mark. And the creature supposedly died due to that

Giga did not have it's bleed in this fight. İt was just an tamed giga with wild stats. İt would be interesting fight between Carcha with full buff and Wild giga
I feel like it depends where you place the animals. The mammoths were just in line waiting to get eaten. Maybe if they were circled around him, the outcome would be different.

@@JustinL186 yeah I think they need to buff it as well as increase the frenzy mode damage multiplier. Since this is the last dinosaur I think they should buff it. At least give it more abilities or a quick tlc to make it compete against wild gigas. They should increase the base damage to 100 or more for a tamed level 1

I like how wildcard makes so amazing models and animation for their dinos and yet fights are just geometry collision shitshow
I bred and 100% imprinted a low-level Carchar. He has 86k HP and 230% melee after about 50 level-ups. At max blood rage, he can kill a wild giga (only ran into a level 11 sadly) in about 30 seconds and get back to full health in under a minute. I've also killed 4 titanosaurs with him. The most damage he took from one of them was about 20k (while face-tanking for about 2 minutes). Blood rage is easy to stack, and level 100 takes two or three minutes in a highly-populated area; it also drains slowly.
When the Carchar was released, I thought "So basically, this thing is Giga Lite." But I was wrong: the Carchar is actually Giga+.

The Giga is like the galleon of super dinos, sturdy and strong. The Carcha is like the frigate of super dinos, strong and fast.

The spino was bigger than all of them. Interestingly enough the Charca and Giga are bigger than the trex too. Spinosaurus is the biggest followed by the Giga, charca, and then rex.
