Oh ,my; when I read the title . I thought ,oh no not the loss of another pet! I was relieved it was not one of the fur babies …but wow , what a job to clean up after a pipe breaks !! It’s a good thing you and manfriend just automatically slip into your roles to clean up the problem and do it with almost no need for a lot of discussion. You are right about having a good man there. He seems to know just what needs to be gotten to fix any given problem… I am still amazed at the ram pump he designed ..- and built . Thank you for sharing todays ordeal with us …a problem aired is a problem shared …and although both of you clearly don’t need anyone’s assistance, you know if any of us lived closer we would be there to help you in a heartbeat!! Sounds like a skiing vacation …yes? Ingonish is a favourite camp spot for us in the summer. We love Broad Cove Campground…and have skiied Cape Smokey so many times . Our daughter was 13 months old skiing Smokey. We had her on a tether of course ..with the skis linked together at the tips so she couldn’t cross them over ….such lovely memories. Sounds like your sweet family is going to make some great memories in Ingonish , whether on a ski hill or just relaxing at a cabin and chilling for your holidays . Have a wonderful relaxing time my dear !! 🤗🦋🌺
Love your videos! When I moved into my cabin I had no electricity or insulation and of course my water froze! But now I am insulated and I have gravity water and let my water run all winter. It's a real learning curb! You will learn as you go. There is always going to be something... my hot water tank is now leaking but I hope it will last till spring. I am hoping to get a hot water on demand unit. I am 70 years old but wouldn't change my life style for any amount of money! It will get easier I promise! Hope your new year is filled with no problems!

I wanted to know what it must feel like living every day in a serenity while also adjusting to a whole new life. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I'm sorry about the water leak, when we first set up our little fish tank, I was very worried that there would be a leak and cause water damage. I found these nifty water leak alarms on Amazon. I've placed a few near my fish tank, under my sinks below the pipes, by the washing machine etc. It rings an alarm and can even send a notification to your phone as soon as it detects water on the surface :D Just thought I'd share if it could give you a little more peace of mind at night 😊

Well, you're doing a lot better than me. 2 weeks ago I made a decision. I wasn't happy, so I quickly packed up. I moved my trailer to a friends and hit the road back to Ontario. I've been back for 9 days now. I'll go back to NB in early summer to sell everything that I have left there. Oscar wasn't happy there either, and I couldn't take seeing him like that. We've moved in with my mom, and will be here for the foreseeable future. Oscar couldn't be happier, he went bananas when he realized we were back at gramma's house. Far more mooching opportunities with gramma in the same house lol.
Listen my friend, you've accomplished an enormous feat. You tried, and more than 90% of the people out there would even consider. You're a winner winner chicken dinner. Speaking of chicken dinner, I owe you an apple smoked roast chicken on a rotisserie open-fire. I hope you consider visiting our homestead on Cape Breton Island some day.
