I built the BK-20 full range speakers I did not use the tweeters because I have no hearing above 15 K Hz My hearing starts to roll off at 12K Hz and completely death after 15K Hz So just the full range Fostex speaker is perfect for a little low watts class A amplifier. When you’re old and you’re hearing is going just think of all the money you saved because you don’t need an expensive crossover and all the electronics getting in the way of the signal to your speaker And you don’t need a tweeter because you couldn’t hear it anyway.
pardon the pun.. but I hear you too many years in front of Phil lesh's bass stacks but I love this speaker design I always have simplicity is the ultimate in sophistication..
@@fabricegrard1001 I do miss those upper frequencies and instruments that I no longer here. But there’s some sort of magic that goes on that a single point source speaker for a single solo instrument or voice deliver. That you seem not to get from a larger tower system with three or four or more drivers. When you have the luxury to have more than one system or different types of music you have the luxury to experiment with single full range drivers and optimize them for just one room for one type of music
I just purchased Jerry Garcia's McIntosh 2300 amp"bud man" for $380,000 at the Sotheby's auction two weeks ago I'm sure my 208 will sound awesome powered by the fat man's amp.

This is true. I think 50Hz to 15kHz is all I need...

Way too much back wsll reflections! Speakers need to pulled for ward at least 3-4 feet from the back wall, even front firing horn loaded designs.
