Setting up my New Trailer to Haul My Foxbody Mustangs

I purchased a new-to-me 2021 Mirage Side X Side car hauler trailer to haul my Foxbody Mustangs around the country to various appointments and car shows. I like to outfit my trailers with things like: 12 volt deep cycle battery, LED lights throughout the cargo area, tool box on the tongue, etc. One of the main issues I found with this trailer is the 12 volt mini battery that controls the emergency break away braking system was completely dead which means that if you needed the break away breaks to come on, they would not. This is a major safety concern and I encourage you all the check your trailers to make sure this system is in good working order.

Got yourself a nice car hauler for the Foxes and the electric beer run scooter. Have you considered a Lithium Ion battery for that safety disconnect switch? Whilst not in use they are not known for discharging or sulfating. I use a red top Optima spiral wound battery in my Fox and it's still works just fine after a decade of use, and I'm probably Mister Lucky on that one.

Nice car trailer, nice addition of those lights and tool box. Wow vise grips on the battery posts, with a tow wench in
flip flops, man that doesn't get more deep south engineering than that.
