Ebeg is a form of Banyumas regional dance that uses horse dolls made from woven bamboo and given fibers as hair. The Ebeg dance in the Banyumas area observes war soldiers on horseback. The dance movement that was displayed by gallantry was performed by Ebeg players. [1]
It is estimated, this Ebeg art has been around since the 9th century, began to compile humans began to embrace the flow of animism and dynamism. One of the evidences which strengthen Ebeg in the ranks of English are forms in trance (possession) or wuru. These forms are forms of art that were born in the days of animism and dynamism.

There are rarely Ebeg songs that use Javanese Mataraman lyrics and languages ​​other than Banyumasan. Some examples of songs in Ebeg that are often sung are Sekar Gadung, Eling-Eling, Ricik-Ricik Banyumasan, Tole-Tole, Waru Doyong, Ana Maning Modele Wong Purbalingga and others.
