Hello joshua! To be honest i have never read this book so i can not really offer my own opinion here😅 but in this video you did point out the cons of an improper world building and how it can affect the reader which i find really helpful because "if you can not imagine the fantasy you're reading accurately then the fantasy is not done properly." This highlighted the importance of the smallest things while writing a book. Thank you for your constant help. Amazing videos, eagerly waiting for the next one.
The lack of world building is mainly because this wasn't originally intended to become a "world". The short stories were initially unconnected, except for their recurring main character. The whole "Voice of Reason" thing is a contrivance the author came up with later in order to connect the short stories to the 5-part Witcher saga, a choice he later regretted due to the resulting inconsistencies that fans of the series kept pointing out to him.
