Almost 6 years ago, I watched this video on the outdated youtube app of an old phone, and was pretty amazed at it. At the time, I didn't know anything about animating, it it did look like a lot of work. Now, I learned a little of animation (mind you, i have no creativity and can't draw) and this is even more impressive.
So that's how you made animation on the live action screens look different... Smart. I always wondered how you managed that. I didnt realize you created the sounds they make when they moved! They always sounded more natural somehow and I guess thats why. Honestly, after learning it took *all that*, I'm stunned you made it in under a year at all. The more I learn about animation in general, the more your animations blow me away- especially the earlier AvA ones, since that was before you had a team to help. Keep doing what you're doing, Alan, I have genuinely no idea how youre so good at this.

I really like this video, not only because it's cool to see some of the ins and outs of how you managed to pull off those live-action shots, but also because it really helps me appreciate how much work goes into these animations. I deeply respect your skill as an animator and your dedication in putting all that time and effort into making such entertaining and high-quality videos.
Modern animated movies typically use Models, making the animation more fluent as well as a lot less work that goes into the frame-by-frame effort. I prefer these types of animations where each frame is redrawn; while it may not be as good of a quality as some of the 3D animations of today, it certainly has more effort put into it.

it does look like a DAW because of the timeline. Steini, in fact most of what we see in the animation is the Flash interface, maybe you are referring to this explanatory video rather than the piece it is explaining.

This was just for laughs and giggles. I barely animated too. I just did a stickman and some random other stickman fighting to see who’s beam is more powerful than the other. The only smooth animation there was the rock lmfao. Also, I draw. Not really animate.
Don’t quit just because of how long or how hard/complicated/etc it is, just do it. Viewers want dedication to your content, like his live action pre-animation animation.
Animating is fun but hard work. Depending on how much time you invest is the quality you get when it completes. Also, in Alan's particular case, this is almost a 20 minute animation achieved single handedly compared to a production company who can probably achieve this in less than month. I wouldn't give up becoming an animator so soon since there's so many cool things you can do with your creativity in a world of drawings. It's truly magical.

it does look like a DAW because of the timeline. Steini, in fact most of what we see in the animation is the Flash interface, maybe you are referring to this explanatory video rather than the piece it is explaining.

Edit: I don’t really animate. This was just for laughs and giggles. I barely animated too. I just did a stickman and some random other stickman fighting to see who’s beam is more powerful than the other. The only smooth animation there was the rock lmfao. Also, I draw. Not really animate.

Don’t quit just because of how long or how hard/complicated/etc it is, just do it. Viewers want dedication to your content, like his live action pre-animation animation.
Animating is fun but hard work. Depending on how much time you invest is the quality you get when it completes.
Also, in Alan's particular case, this is almost a 20 minute animation achieved single handedly compared to a production company who can probably achieve this in less than month.
I wouldn't give up becoming an animator so soon since there's so many cool things you can do with your creativity in a world of drawings. It's truly magical.
