Is your "Brilliant Ideas" series still running or has it been cancelled? I know it doesn't get as many views as it should, but it's the best art documentary series, period.

I don't know anything about art: but i like these ideas and their very cheerful presentation.

His works aren’t about cooking, they are about social engagement and building temporary creative communities which in turn create temporal works inspired by history and culture, and reflect current societal conditions

but cooking is about this too!

@@RodrigCN exactly? The cooking facilitates the ideas which I described. The work isn’t about the food, but about the concepts. Cooking is the medium, but it’s not the point

So many already seem to recognize cooking as an art, especially particular cuisines with long and deep histories. Is he essentially reminding the art world that this may be the case?

Well, from the general idea I took of it, I think it goes more the other way around. in which cooking or painting or working are all parts of life and there is something to be appreciated and thought in all of it, the art world, hmm I don’t think he cares too much about what they do (wrong) but the interactions between people come first :)

He doesn’t want to make work that sits and dies in a museum ? ? that’s exactly what he’s making . He shouldn’t fool himself , he makes sculpture and especially as objects, and they are going right in the museum, no other purpose

Exactly! He's the typical idiot scammer who tries to "deliver a message", when in reality: he just wants to make easy money. .-.

Totally agree. Plus, how the hell can that woman say his art isn't separated from the daily life?! He's a son of diplomats who traveled the world and had the best possible education and starting points out there. I'm sure he knows what life is like to a Vietnamese farmer.

Art is in the context and the way people see it.

I wonder what you would consider art then. contemporary art is like this because it's pushing boundaries, it's reflective of the current world. we no longer need to paint or sculpt hyper realistically bc there is no point in competing with photography and 3D programs. if you want to make a difference, make your own art. anyone can.
