nic eto meet you~Super! awesome vlog~✋
Thank you for watching! ❤️
The illustrations are lovely in this deck and whilst they do provide different perspectives, unfortunately, both Linn's Sacred Destiny and Sacred Forest oracle decks use exactly the same key words, with only a few changes. I was hoping for something completely new.
I have SO many issues with this deck. If you're gonna portray historical stuff for us to "travel" to, it should at least have some semblance of accuracy. So many of these cards are just wrong, incorrect. And as a woman, so many of these times and places are so risky for women to exist.
The Silk Road, Inner Mongolia card is just wrong, incorrect. None of that is inner Mongolia. They don't have Dromedary Camels, they have Bactrian (2 hump) Camels. That landscape isn't even close to Inner Mongolia. The clothes the person is wearing are not even close to Mongolian clothes. I knew it when I saw it, and double checked what Inner Mongolia looks like, just to be sure, with a 30 second Google search.
Why is the Earth NOT in the background of the Moon Landing card?!?!
Where is the eye Swirl on Jupiter?!?! It is basically THE feature everyone knows of Jupiter, but it's not in the picture...
Why is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. NOT in front of the Lincoln Memorial?!?!
For Ancient Egypt, why is the card showing the modern, damaged versions of the Sphynx?
Why is the recognizable image of Glastonbury Tor or the Glastonbury Chalice Well NOT used for the Glastonbury card, but just some random "celtic" stuff?!?!
Polar bears are NOT native to Iceland and are only rarely seen there due to ice floes. Iceland is too far south for Polar Bears.
The image of the triceratops looks really funky and messed up. They also didn't live during the Jurassic but the Cretaceous period.
For the Polynesian Voyagers, there's no sails or masts on the front boat and the design isn't even close to portraying how they looked.
This deck is a HARD pass for me. It's just way too inaccurate. It just pulls me right out of any kind of journey to those places because of the inaccuracies.
Though the pictures are beautiful I was also bothered by some inaccuracies. As a Nordic person the polar bear in Iceland was a bit too much for me.
I can totally see what you are saying and it makes sense. I think there was a lot of liberty taken. Thanks for watching and for sharing your insight ❤️
Is this ai generated?
I was thinking the same thing! It probably isn’t, but it has that look to it
