- Sorrento is a coastal town south of Metropolitan Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, in Victoria, Australia. It is thought that the name 'Sorrento' (after the Italian seaside town) was conferred upon what was known as Sullivans Bay when the area was first opened for housing development in 1869.
Sorrento is a beautiful and historic village that has retained much of its heritage in the form of the historic limestone buildings that line the main street. The village offers shopping that is stylish and sophisticated, with more than 60 retail outlets including boutiques, interior design stores, galleries and antique outlets. Naturally the cafes, restaurants, local produce stores and designer ice-cream are superb.

😂 caught by laser eyes again. Brighton Beach is close to the city, and Mornington Peninsula is kind of regional Victoria. Sorrento is 100 km away from Melbourne. The peninsula is a beautiful place for a day tour, a weekend or even longer holiday.
