For the first time, after 40 years, in this 2022 I feel profoundly grateful to myself: despite the failure of professional projects, I have not been discouraged (and cried as always), but have sought serenity in LIFE... in what it he gave me… in what I built! And so I tried to be a better mother (of my 2 year old), also through my diary, my stickers and my colors (which I know how to use very badly, but they are still my source of relaxation, serenity and the search for 'me)… I tried to be a wife (I've always neglected everything for my career), and I rediscovered the pleasure of walking in nature! And I feel deeply grateful for that! 💝

First off, I want to tell you, I lost my mom in 1996 and it was so hard. She left behind a lot of journals/diaries from her youth and they were so much fun to sit down and read though. I feel like I got to know another part of her. I also think about that when I sit to write my thoughts each day -- some day my own kids might read this. I do have to say that I am most grateful for my family. I adore Thanksgiving because my adult children are back around my table and the laughter is priceless. I have so many things to list, but I am going to spare the list and stick with that, ha!

Thanks for another inspiring video from you. I am grateful that women like you share inspiring tips like the ones in this video.
I have been journaling for many many years. I always write in a regular lined notebook and start each writing session by writing the date, day of the week and what time it is. For a while now, I also write in the introduction where I am sitting when I write. Sometimes I sit in bed (cozy), sometimes at the kitchen table, often at a desk, but sometimes in the garden.
I don't write every day but only when I feel like it. This week it's been twice so far, last week I also posted twice, but the week before that not once and that's okay too. Yesterday I wrote three A5 pages. One day last week I wrote 15 pages because that's what I needed at the time.
That said, thanks for the inspiring tips. I'm going to check out that 52 list thing that I haven't heard of before.
I am grateful for your videos, my notebooks and planners and of course for all that Jesus did and is doing :) Thanks!!

Thanks for the journaling tips. I've been keeping a journal off and on for years. I bought a hobonichi cousin for 2022 with the intention of using the dailies for journaling, but I slacked off in July and found that I was using the weekly pages the most. So I think I'm going to stick to an undated notebook/journal for next year so I don't feel overwhelmed or guilty with all the empty pages.

Hi Tiffany, I agree w the guilt that comes w a dated page. I also journaled in the dailies in the cousin until March when I switched to rings ☺️

I'm grateful for having the time, now that I've retired, to help my family and friends. Just returned from a trip to PA and assisted my 92 year-old mother-in-law and 90 year-old father with many projects they couldn't do on their own. Also reconnected with old high school friends and gifted them with crafting projects I completed before leaving on my trip. Much joy in giving to others. Thank you for sharing your journaling. While you were talking, I was using my newly purchased stickers to decorate my January 2023 pages and the pages look SO enticing. I just want to write in them.

First: Where did you get that amazing sticker organizer?
Second: I am grateful for my husband being back from deployment to spend the holidays with me. I am grateful for my journal journey that allows me to process my emotions after losing our first baby and writing to her daily 👼

Thank you for this. I'd like to start journaling. I like the common place book you used here. But is there anything out there that doesn't have the weekly portion? I'd like to use the monthly spread to document what we did that day and then a blank part with no dates etc to journal.
