    I love how, at least to me, they tie terrifying old world stories into the modern urban legends we know today. The lady of the lake starts off as this malevolent, almost flesh and blood entity that becomes this ethereal, wandering, almost lost looking ghost later on...kind of like the ghosts of the roadside white lady or gray lady. They only appear to us. They cannot harm us and besides their surprising random appearances, they don't really evoke a sense of terror or dread while they perform their loops. It's like we get their backstories

    Absolutely love these. I always need time to process shows like this and your videos are the perfect way to do that. Have you considered making a video on Perdida? Such a fascinating character, that one.

    I always thought solving Violas problem is if her husband and daughter understand Viola reason for killing her sister that they wouldn't leave and put her in the lake and give Viola what she wanted what is love to her

    • @hauntedhues
      @hauntedhues  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think he husband grew superstitious and was scared of the chest, that's why he decided to throw into the lake. He wanted to protect his daughter, the only one he had left.

      @hauntedhues if Viola sister didn't wanna kill her with pillow then she could had ask Viola first and not forcing it against her cause that would make anyone angry to were you want revenge back and cause more harm to yourself and others

    I know I'm picky as hell , but the clothing Is not proper for the time that they set the story in. It's just that a thing of mine that I'm in to and have studied I always notice it and jt always bugs me just little.

    • @hauntedhues
      @hauntedhues  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha I know, that happens to me all the time where I get taken out of the story because of certain details. Do you have a particular clothing that really bothered you on the show?

    Wouldn’t the muddy footprints belong to an adult and not a child? I don’t understand why they don’t notice this and think the kids are causing the footprints…

    • @hauntedhues
      @hauntedhues  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Haha very true...maybe Flora has huge feet or Viola has tiny ones...most likely the writers didn't think about it too much

    • @rach_laze
      @rach_laze 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At the kids ages they could conceivably be in adult sizes. Flora is 8 and Miles is 10. 90% of foot growth is complete by age 10 in girls and 80% in boys. Combine that with the average smaller stature and correlated smaller feet of adults in the 1600s (adult average height dropped dramatically between 1650 and 1700) it’s completely plausible for there to be very little size difference in a footprint.
      For reference today’s average shoe size at age 8 for girls is a UK 1. And for boys aged 10 a UK 3.

      Also, it makes more sense that the prints are from people who actually *live* in the manor. It's so easily dismissed that the prints are "adult" sized because... who would they belong to??
      It's cognitive dissonance.

      And for kids, to deliberately keep up such a ruse over a period of months or years, with the necessary props is extremely improbable.

      I don't know if she is evil per say. But she definitely isn't good, she is no longer even aware of what she is doing or who she once was. She has turned into a curse and operates almost mindlessly.

    • @OzmaOfOzz
      @OzmaOfOzz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      She was a logical woman and she knew how to play her cards in order to save the Manor (in this way she reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara) but she is evil. I mean she should have died quickly after getting sick but i feel only spite kept her alive

    Can you make similar characters analysis of Euphoria. I think it'd be great 🤠 or do you prefer Horror genre

      @@hauntedhues Is midnight mass good? I'm only on episode 2 but I still hear some good reviews

    • @hauntedhues
      @hauntedhues  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lovely1641 I loved it but it is very different from the Haunting series and a lot more dialogue heavy but well done. It can get a bit slow at times but like the haunting series it is very character driven. So I would recommend it!
