Cheers for this video, it’s a massive help. Getting a good camera angle of the bolts and clips as you undid them must’ve been difficult!

Yes, I had to get under the car, luckily enough its back end is as high as some of today's SUVs.

A good way to check the sensors is to turn the ignition on, no engine, put in reverse and listen to each of the sensors. They will make a faint clicking sound. The ones not making the sound will be faulty. If they’re all clicking it maybe the module.

Hey! I just got a 2006 2.1 V6 X-Type, but with no parking sensors from factory. However, i do have a second bumper that has parking sensors built-in. Do you think it's possible to retrofit them onto the car, or is it really complicated? I don't want to swap the whole bumper since they have different colours, but i saw in your video that you can just take the black plastic part off with the sensors.
    Also, nice and detailed content!

You don't need to swap the whole bumper, only the black part, for sure. But you have to connect the sensors to the parking control unit in the trunk/boot near the spare wheel. A good electrician will implement the retrofit. Good luck!

Nice job nice car, I am now doing transfer case, bearings change and dog bone upgrade to be more tighten. Discovered that whole engine is moving/rotating too much when I am starting and then changing to 2nd gear,

Thank you so much for your kind words. My Jag is 2wd manual, that's why I am free from many 4wd issues. As for the dog bone, I thought about changing it when I bought this car, but it is in normal condition, OEM. As far as I see aftermarket parts are of worse quality, so the OEM dog bone is still working for already 7-8 years in my hands. There is less tension on it in 2wd case. Good luck to you and your car!

I agree with you, the diagram is very complicated, nevertheless I did my best to explain my idea to viewers.
