  • Dr Thomas Mattern introduces us to the diminutive and charismatic Fiordland crested penguin, living in New Zealand's Milford Sound. His research program, The Tawaki Project, aims to learn more about the secret lives of these rarely-seen penguins.

This makes me incredibly homesick. I miss Aotearoa New Zealand, my homeland

Really great penguin footage, Bray! Are the bugs in frame mostly sandflies?

Congrats Bray "another" incredible remote area wildlife film. How you manage access and survive and then to film in such areas is beyond me, but you always seem to manage. The scenery and penguin footage, esp your talent and expertise with the drone outstanding. Your entry in the NZ Film Festival should do really well. Look forward to your expeditions.
