I rode the Apache Trail last week on my Honda motorcycle; it's a very enjoyable ride. Be aware that there's still road construction Monday through Thursday; the flaggers waved me through even though their stop signs were up but without luck there could be some delay. Fridays through Saturdays there's no construction though.
Great video! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the road is back open and I look forward to driving it again, but part of me wanted it to remain closed because the Eastern Superstitions felt more remote and isolated during the last 5 years.
I´ve done the trail 30 years ago, three or four times. I´m glad to know it´s open again. But with my 81 years now I´m looking that fantastic road on my sofa. Greetings from old Germany!
Tax payers invested 4 million to repair. Tortilla flats has burned down a few times over the years, back in the 70’s there used to be a motel next to the restaurant. My dad on the weekends would take us there for the great burgers after fishing canyon lake or breakfast going to Apache lake. Loved your video

Dreaming of checking out the trail again next time we're out there!! Love your videos!
Great video. I drove the trail once and took many great pictures. One day I will go back.
Thank you! You should absolutely go back!
Great video, I'm glad its back open as well.
Thank you! We’re fortunate to have such beautiful scenery so close to home!
We were disappointed that this was closed last winter but certainly glad to see this road reopened. One of our favourites. Thanks for sharing.
It's one of our favorites too! Thanks for watching!
I drove that old road back in 1968 in a CJ5. Not much challenge, just a lot of great scenery.
That had to be fun in a CJ5! It's an amazing trail for views! Thanks for watching!
Obviously. I took my 1974 Oldsmobile Omega over it in 1975.

@@athoutdoors9921 thanks for watching! We definitely missed the area while it was closed but we understand the sentiment!

@@rafaelrieck6655 Danke Schön! We appreciate you watching! I bet it was just as beautiful, if not even more, 30 years ago!

Wow.. by accident! You got to experience the old fish creek section. Hope you enjoyed the trail, at least!
Did that trail last Saturday. Been a long time coming back.
It has been a long time.. we were glad to see it open up!!
It is also a state highway (unless that has been changed).

I heard that no boats or trailers are allowed on the Apache trail, are there signs to that point?
Yes, there is a sign just before the Fish Creek gate, stating No Boats or trailers.
They *have never* been allowed.
When I was in tortilla flat 1970 those buildings were not there, was all desert then.
I am sure things change, but the town was established in 1904, so something should have been there. Thanks for watching!
