Great video! Love to see the testing and sorting out the launches. It gives some perspective on track vs street expectations. Shout out to Alex for keeping it going down the track! Thanks again Sick Crew!
This Woodward race is about to get a little more exciting.. Billy and Tommy are coming with the s10 and falcon.. People have some serious work to do upon arrival 🧐📝👀🙃💯🔥✌️🍀.. Best of wishes for all
My bad with the news that the s10 was going.. I was watching as soon as I got up and had coffee.. My imagination was a little exited I believe.. Be well everyone.. We love this family and these boys need us more than ever.
I used to avoid Woodward Ave. during Dream Cruise! I like seeing the cars but when you live a few miles from Woodward and have to get places you avoid that road in well pretty much all of August!
great video as always.. also on a side note.. alex really needs more time on the wheel of her car.. seems like it is super buggy.. hope she stays safe till it is all worked out. well honestly i want everyone to be safe.. happy racing!!!!!!
Tom Tom tom try to interview the street racing channel and see what they think of this event. Keep up the sweet content can’t wait too see what’s next in the channel.
This car was a BEAST😈 Got to see you today at roadkill dodge event at m1concourse. Your car is fast I got to see you race Westen Champlen and damn you put on a show 🔥🔥😈
Last year she came with a tubbed Challenger to Road kill nights. This year she came with, basically, a Funny Car. She should change her name to Miss Smoky Yunick. :D
Very nice video!! My cars USED to be fast back in the late 80's/early 90's. Now all retired to spirited drivers on the street to enjoy between evens. All the cars these days are 1000+ HP easy!!! My old 350 Chevy and 3.8 Turbo Buick are to slow and to old.
try getting that bar lower, it dosent even touch the ground, and try some loose suspension, just don’t get too carried away with it, if u do loosen it up, make sure the bar is decently low
She’s in the dodge Woodward drag challenge again, they were supplied a hellcrate motor, stick shift trans and associated electronics, and the teams pick the car it’s going in but the car has to come from the dodge stable
ok, so the whole drag and drive is new to me. Do these cars have a special type of registration that allows the type of exhaust they're using? just curious how they deal with sound and muffler restrictions? I love this concept!
Some of them have mufflers, or exhaust pipes, they put on for the street driving. Otherwise most of them try to roll along and not make any more of a scene than they have to.
Well I think it really depends on the state where the car registered. Laws about exhaust and other stuff is state specific. That said one of the advantages of a turbo car is that the turbo acts as a muffler. They are WAY quieter than a nitrous or blown combo.
I understand that the Woodward event seems to be in it to win it. I tried to find times the event and got bupkis, I didn't try real hard. That's very polite. Being an old motorcycle/bicycle guy, am sort of curious about how far back in the results a stock front line gas street bike would be on this sort of surface. I suppose it is an ignorant question and feel free to throw my under the bus if you feel you have to .Please be creative. I might want to steal some of your material.
A new car built for this years Roadkill grudge competition. A tube framed '55 Savoy, built from scratch in 28 days. Hellcat Redeye engine and 6 speed manuel.
Put Alex in a real drag race car with a stick, like a Super Modified or a Pro Stock, and she will show you how it's done. Get her in Pro Stock, or the new FX NHRA class. Love the 55 Plymouth though. Something different for sure.
The challenge of no prep is to tune for the hook, and experienced back trackers know how to do it. Not the kind of surface most of these guys are used to (with the obvious exception of Nick Taylor). I think he (Nicky Bobby) is tuner for the car shown at the 12:00 minute mark.
Hey steve is it supposed to leave like a slug ? and I'm sorry but driving a stick car is a fluid motion it can't be something you have to think about . If you have to think about what to do with each body part and when to do it then guess what . YOUR an automatic drag car driver . PERIOD.....
This video is a good example of why I prefer drag cars that run in the 11-13 second range, these cars with all the artificial intelligence and money invested are useless without glue on the track.
Indiana Slim why limit yourself to 12-13 second runs? Challenge yourself instead of taking the easy way. I can name half a dozen sub 9sec cars that hook up on the worst roads in the country...
@@johnobrien9718 Hi John, there are too many reasons to list them all but the biggest reason is that cars in that range are more closer to real cars that you see on the street, the quicker the car the more artificial intelligence involved, so much that it devolves into a video game like experience where all the driver does is plant his foot to the floor and release a button, I much prefer a stock floorplan over a tube framed car that only has a roof and quarter panels made of steel. Another factor to consider is that a 12 second car is cheaper to build with less breakage than a 8 second car plus the driver gets an extra 4 seconds of driving each pass. I'll stop now but I could go on.
Alex Taylor made my Friday even better!...bang shift!

Only the Falcon
I’m sure they will dominate the street with both cars!! So cool to hear that they are showing up to this event. I’m gonna try to make it up next year.
@@rolokyber I thought the old man bill said they were bringing both cars? I probably heard wrong.

Lots of great cars out there. It was nice to see the dsm representing.
Check out Alex with the clutch car! That's awesome. She and Dennis will get it figured out. Probably just needed a little more airgap on the disc.
That Talon is awesome
SRC Billy the kid and Tommy are supposed to be coming to race.
What a difference the track surface makes.
Great vid!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
1:13 Tom's best Kimi Räikkönen style interview

@ Alex: looks very rocky-when i think on your first run straight as a rocket... but I am -yeah Dave will fix it!
Joe's Chev... oh my gosh....
Definitely try the 1" master cylinder
Wish I could be there. Going to be an awesome time. Nicky Bobby and SRC come on with it. Motortrend for the win though.

Best explanation ever👍🤘
I enjoyed watching the cars laughing. Great verity of cars.
Anyone know who owns the black and silver Camaro @ 6 minutes? That thing is freaking sick!!
Don Foess, he built it in a barn! we featured it in Sick The Mag a couple of books ago.
@@sickthemag Thanks! I'm not subscribed to Sick the Mag. I will be now. Is it possible to buy retro issues?
@tom Bailey, any chance you could do the car feature like you do in the magazine for TH-cam for the people who can't afford to subscribe to it please?
Good fun
Some nice cars !
Sooooo any chance of seeing 1.0 run a Limpy big tire cash days?
Or NPK !!!!
You look amazing in a Mopar Alex
Hellcat power!
I think, making a class that you run the front side of the track, and than, the back side.
3:09 leave it to dad. He'll figure it out.
I missed a lot I haven't seen Alex Taylor and quite some time now and finding out right now that she is running a stick
shes borrowing a car iirc. the previous video explains it.

She's now a co-host of Hot Rod Garage with Lucky. This was their build for the RoadKill nights event.

Prodigy no prep Falcon coming to the event.
Can't wait to see street racing channel come to roadkill. It's going to be a BADASS video FOR SURE
I would sell my neighbors cat for that Savoy!!
Done!
It's very hard to de-tune from 4000hp to 400hp.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it would sound like a lawn mower 😅🤣🤣🤣🥰💯❤
Why does one succomb tires to back half chip seal testing yet do burnouts through the line, eliminating the point in my mind.
That DSM showing up strong, looked fast

Looks like it's time to build a Chevy ll with a Ford engine and spark up some chaos
Best joke I've heard all week so far
You definitely need a different shifter in your Plymouth!
Tom’s spins wheels at least to the 1/8 on low power….

Where’s the 55
Talking Alex? She testing her build for this years Roadkill grudge match. Like the Challenger she build last year. New year, new rules .... new car.
Alex Taylor is the most beautiful woman alive. Imma buy her a 55 Chevy and ask her to marry me 😆

Not a fan of no prep...I'd rather see the cars perform at the top of their capabilities.
I can go anywhere to watch tires spinning.
Alright, then don't watch it.
