Great video really gave me some good tips on the basics of changing my alternator, but to anybody doing this on a 2007 murano yuu do not have to disconnect or drain any tubes or liquids or take out the radiator, take off your passenger side front tire, remove the serpentine belt like he shows in the video as well as the circle thing that moves the belt😂 remove your ac compressor and yuu will be able to reach it almost perfectly, may be a pain but much more easy

I just wanted to thank you for your help I couldn't been able to replace my 07 Nissan Murano's alternator without your help so thank you so much I appreciate it 🙏
Thank you so much. Among all the videos I have watched on the Murano alternator replacement, your method of removing the radiator out of the way is the way to go. It is a lot easier to remove the radiator than to tray to remove the alternator with the radiator in place. Draining radiator is nothing. By the time alternator goes out, the radiator and fan are probably also due for replacement anyway, might as well to take this opportunity to put in a new radiator.
I am so with you here. I actually own one of these Muranos, but it's agony to work on. I miss old-school conventional stright-mounted V8 engines, LOL. I changed things like this in my 1970s Olds V8 in about 30 minutes. Loosen belt, 3 bolts, unplug connector, and it's out. Taking apart half the engine compartment just to get an alternator out is absurd.
Thank you for showing what it takes to complete the job and the possible additional changes ( replacement of houses, nuts and screws...) that may be needed in the process. Good job Sir. Thank you again
Great video!!! Just took me about 10x as long after rounding off one of the 14 mm nuts and breaking a connector. Lining up the new one was a pain as well. Miss working on my 83' Monte Carlo
Did not mention 12mm and Jack stands in list of tools as I do not have a lift at home. Other than that wasn't bad video but my buddy refused to take the tire off. Its 12am rn. We started at 8pm
Great video.. I have to do it on my 04 murano. Just need a place to do it since I live in an apartment complex they don't let residents to work on cars 😫
Can I use a Nissan maxima 2005 alternator if I redo the wiring harness? Looks exactly the same and in the same location I already purchased it and had it tested
Ok so you have a TON OF SPACE IN THERE. I just did mine and had no room. Can’t reach the long bolt from the back needed universal joints to reach the nuts. There is no giant ac compressor in your way. My ac compressor was in the way every step of the way. It BARELY was able to come out and i had to twist it around. Still trying to figure out how to get the new one in as i cant get my hand into where the long bolt goes. This car sucks.
A customer call me to change is alternate on it 010 Nissan minerno told him I can't I take a look it was out of my reach just don't wantto spend the time to do that on a Sunday at is home 😢
I smell a rat here. We have the ac pump disconnected all but the lines and still can't get the darn thing out. It's getting cold outside so we will hit it with fresh eyes in the morning and we will see

Makers of this car deserve sleepless nights😂
As a Nissan tech, I never had to disconnect the coolant system. I just lower the a/c compressor and lower the front subframe a bit. That's how I do it
exactly right
Are there any videos the way you do it?
Not a full step by step, but the best I could find atm

In my opinion this is the best video on removing an Alt.
Very detailed, very well explained and very good focus on the most important areas.

Leave it to nissan to do asinine stuff like burying an alternator..
Right!! My next car will be a Chevy lol much easier to work on

Best video and showed all the important sections to complete the job right the first time.. "Great Job"
I did this yesterday and it was fairly easy. This is the best video around for this task.

Thanks a lot of your video. Its a very good learning for murano owners. Very detailed and relaxing too. God Bless and more power to you..
You didn’t include in the list a 12mm but I made it work. Other than that very great video
Wow that was freaking beautiful
Does the belt tensioner pully bolt "lock in" the tensioner bolt?

Thank you very much respect from Armenia city Artashat
How long did this take you? I’m having to do this on someone’s car and I’m trying to figure out how many hours this will take me.
Did mine without removing the radiator, had to remove the fan assembly and AC compressor..
Excellent video. Thanks
The tension pulley bolt won’t losten when I use my 3/4 wrench, what should I do

can this be done without a lift? no one wants to help me work on mine because they want it to be on a lift and i dont have access to one

How much did you charge for this? In labor? 400$
Cool job , video
Came across this video MY RADIATOR is kicking my behind it’s like the whole grille fan and all is connected
I’m doing this at home & my idler pulley nut rounded off. Now the top holes don’t wanna line up. Terrible design
Thenk you.
