Watching the episode of Enlightened entitled Consider Helen, that focuses solely on the character that Dianne Ladd plays of Laura’s mother in the first season of the show is like watching an absolute master class in acting. It’s one of the most subtle acting performances I’ve ever seen. And kudos to Mike White’s writing as well. You can’t believe the character development in this half hour of television. Just spectacular. As was the entire show.

I love 😚 how low key the Ladd/Derns are-they just show up, do exceptional work 🙏😭🤗and keep it moving -unlike some other mother/daughter combos 😏with no discernable talent to speak 🙊 of but are always in our faces 😩🤢🙄. So glad Diane Ladd is doing better health wise and I will be more cautious of pesticides because of what she went through.🙏😘

I am surpirsed that they talked little about Bruce Dern. I know Laura Dern and Bruce Dern's Work. I don't know Diane Ladd's work as well. I like Bruce in Coming Home and the Sci-Fi Movie Running Silent I think it was called. I like Larua in a lot of stuff she did including Mask. I guess she was never that close to Bruce Dern especially when Diane Ladd said they were worried about how she would support her daughter.

Ugh, I loooove both. I met Ms. Ladd at an autograph show, where she aggressively hand-sold me her book! It was amazing.
