    as Mark D mentioned - the professional videos left me skeptical to attempt my own garage/woodshop. But yours was so well done that I know my wife and daughter and I can do it now. Thanks.

    Good job . I sell epoxy coatings for a major manufacturer so I liked the way you stressed safety and most importantly the surface prep and using the correct tools or applicators.

    I think you could build shoes better with a block on the heel that prevents them from slipping forward.

      If you are doing a one off job screw the plywood spike plate to an old pair of shoes. Professional spike shoes sell for around $80

    True I have a lot of contractors that use a floor buffer with a fabric sandpaper pad it helps with the lines and score marks from the diamond grind and not quite as much dust.

      Hey Siberwolf. I also liked the straight talk epoxy floor coat video. The videos on TH-cam make it appear too "Dangerous" for the average homeowner. Besides, a lot of them are Epoxy companies who want you to call them to do the job for you. This guy reminds me of "Chris Fix', the TH-cam car mechanic. I hope he was gifted some pro nailed shoes for doing such a nice job

    How has this epoxy held up since you've installed it?

    • @Got2Learn
      @Got2Learn  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Perfectly well, it's on there for good. I did drop an axe 1 week after the install and broke off a 1" x 1" piece (concrete and all) but the epoxy itself is very durable. Only thing I could say is that it will stain with some products like food coloring and UV light, so take that into consideration, hope this helps ;)

    • @Got2Learn
      @Got2Learn  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Winsome Losesome I really don't know if epoxy is good for vertical applications, you would have to call SIKA and ask them, they are the epoxy pros ;)

    • @daveyconcrete9801

      Epoxy can be used vertically but it must be thickened and applied in thin coats. I did a high end horse stable project we epoxied the walls of the horse showers

      That's ok, the only thing I regret doing, is doing the final grinding with a 4 1/2" grinder. What I should have done is use a commercial grinder because now when there is sun, we see the grind marks, nothing really serious but it's something a client would probably not accept lol.
