Regarding the loose studs... For some reason they don't fit well in those hubs (they are brand new studs). Alberto had tac welded them, but most of the tac welds broke. I have other hubs, but they're at the warehouse so I was planning on getting those another day!
Adam LZ I was going to say "give it away, sign it," but then I remembered all of the weird broken or replaced parts I have for my car and how much I was told to get rid of them and didn't listen. Like how do I so easily get rid of the rock that say behind my driver's side headlight for 6 months until I got a new set of headlight assemblies..... True story, and my god was it a real talking point whenever I showed someone my car
I'm almost 29yrs old and I enjoy watching your channel along with haggard, ricermiata, gingium, jimmy oaks and others, the point is all of you have one thing in common you like working on cars and I wish I had friends like that.
They sacrifice low end torque for high flow HP. I agree, but I'm actually trying to shift my power curve down lower - so much so that I'm actually going to go back to stock cams.
Dude you have come so far. From just a kid thrashing the streets and the park to a full blown massive company and an awesome house with all the toys. It's been sick watching you on your journey.
You need to put the valve cover seal into the groove in the valve cover, if you just lay it on the head and put the cover on top there is a good chance the seal won't sit in the groove and will just be squashed or pinched; then you'll have an oil leak that could cause a fire. If it keeps falling out of the groove when you're fitting it, just use a few spots of sealant to stick it to the cover.
You are meant to put the gasket in the valve cover not on the head. Thats why the valve cover has a channel shaped exactly like the gasket. How often have you had a leaking gasket? I bet loads.
should rebuild the q45 calipers. They don't look as nice as z32 but I can tell you from my car, rebuilt old q45 calipers all painted up look decent and stop awesome, just as good as z32 in terms of raw stopping force. Plus they fit with any wheels pretty much
@2:27 Caster rod's "locknut" (dont know what it is called) is not screwed towards the adjust part... I know that as long as it locked in just one end it won't adjust itself. But it makes it stronger when it is tighten in both ends.
Lubricated threads transfer torque from rotational to clamping much better, so the 100ft lbs you put on the nut can act like 150 or 200 with lubrication. You can stretch studs much easier than you think and cause a failure.
So awsome to see Adams transition of sucsess from a kid to now its crazy glad to see your doing so good in life and keeping us fans with you the whole ride with you keep it up man congrats on the maridge
anti seize will also help slow down mixed metal corrosion between alloy lug-nuts on steel studs ... can be quite dangerous if the lug nuts are not often removed
Antisease and greese ur suposed to but on them so it doesnt sease on there, if u dont change them often and daily drive to long then they sease on there or can and if they do u either use the torch method or grinder method and cut off stud or haft to use a impact gun also they can sease and when u go to take them off the threads on studs wear off or can get damaged or can snap and then haft to be replaced
I think you mounted the rotors the wrong way. You have the right ones on the left side and the left ones on the right. The slices on the rotors should look like a sawblade. It's no big deal but just for next time.
It all depends on the veins on the inside, you want the air (for cooling) to pull from the centre if it's on backwards it will cook the rotor because the veins won't pull the air through
@09:07 nivole is correct. Leave it how it is. Even run some clear over its current condition. Them battle scars make it worth what its worth. Otherwise its just a plain old shiney valve cover.
Regarding the anti seize on the wheel studs, you really should not put any form of lubrication on them because the oem torque specs are based off of a dry clean bolt. When you put anti seize on, it makes the bolt easier to turn and thus doesn't need as much torque to be tightened to the same degree. Over torquing of bolts can cause the metal to stretch, over time reducing its ability to be tightened properly, and in some cases causing the bolt to snap. Probably not a huge deal for slight amounts of over torquing but it is not common practice to do so.
Party Animal seriously, she is more awesome than tj could ever dream to be. I used to be a fan of tj being a fellow san diegan, but lately he just buggs.
Hi Adam I personally think you should sign it as Nicole suggested and spray clear over it as is, think the wear on it is iconic as it comes a long way with you enjoy :)
Adam you're suppose to put the gasket on the valve cover and then put it down onto the head lol. Cover looks awesome though!. You should put a light bulb socket onto the valve cover and mount it on the wall as a lamp :)
mazworx do some silver valve cover bolts for the SR, they come with silver washers and all the bolts you need, about 45 bucks and they look super clean!
I'm all for spacers if they're safe. I run 2 1/2 inch spacers on my truck for over 2 years. Checking them once a month and have no issues. But non hub centric, non bolt on thread spacers are hella dangerous. That's sketchy for you Adam, but you take that risk. I'm shocked you'd put those on her car.
i think you should keep it for yourself adam cause its been with you for ever! and clean it up and hang it on the wall also u need a greddy intake to clean up your engine bay!!!!
Adam, I think you'll find that the spacing out the r32 brakes will not give you much more room. You'll need to find wheels with around 25-30mm of brake clearance to fit. Learn from my experience of fitting 80's SSR reverse mesh onto a 5 stud swapped 180sx.
PBM is probably the only manufacturer on the market who would advise that. While big boost isn't wrong about it assisting in a stuck wheel situation, or frozen lug situation, the thin amount of never seize used still throws off the clamping force rating that goes hand in hand with an OEM Torque specification. And here I was thinking this TIA certification was never going to be useful in conversation. 😅
Regarding the loose studs... For some reason they don't fit well in those hubs (they are brand new studs). Alberto had tac welded them, but most of the tac welds broke. I have other hubs, but they're at the warehouse so I was planning on getting those another day!
Subscribe to me and follow my 2js 240sx build! :) adams motivated me alot for youtube as well as my car!
Leave valve cover the way it is!!!
Adam LZ ohh ok.... leave the value cover how it is... it cool and it's would mean more...
Adam LZ I was going to say "give it away, sign it," but then I remembered all of the weird broken or replaced parts I have for my car and how much I was told to get rid of them and didn't listen. Adam LZ hey you should keep your valve cover and hang it on your wall
Can't wait for you guys to go to japan again, really interested in the chaser.
1 more month!

A+ for color matching the caliper letters to the car!
I'm almost 29yrs old and I enjoy watching your channel along with haggard, ricermiata, gingium, jimmy oaks and others, the point is all of you have one thing in common you like working on cars and I wish I had friends like that.
You need a greddy intake manifold. That will clean up your engine bay so much!
They sacrifice low end torque for high flow HP. I agree, but I'm actually trying to shift my power curve down lower - so much so that I'm actually going to go back to stock cams.
subscribe to me and I will sub back. anyone is allow just comment when done!

Papa Meech hahaha at LZ calling him out for creeping on Emilia Hartford
leave the valve cover weathered, it makes it way more aesthetically pleasing
Bartoes 6902 . Says a guy with trump photo...
... It's the truth tho, excuse my profile pic
Gabrielius Masionis what the hell?? What’s his profile picture got to do with his comment? 😂
Hey Nicole's passenger side tension rod is loose
At the start: "Z32 brake swaps are child's play"
At the end: "Z32 brakes are annoying and make wheel choice difficult"
You spoke too soon.
Dude you have come so far. From just a kid thrashing the streets and the park to a full blown massive company and an awesome house with all the toys. It's been sick watching you on your journey.
That valve cover in instagram???
I like how it looks now, it has a lot of stories to tell and the patina makes it unique!
I agree with Nicole about the valve cover. But instead of giving it away, make a display for it on top of the garage tool doors
Studs are not supposed to be loose like that.. shoulda at least tapped them back in from behind, not good, valve cover looks killer though
You are meant to put the gasket in the valve cover not on the head. Thats why the valve cover has a channel shaped exactly like the gasket. How often have you had a leaking gasket? I bet loads.

Adam Humble i agree all the brake force of z32, and way easier to fit wheels without caliper clearance issues.
@2:27 Caster rod's "locknut" (dont know what it is called) is not screwed towards the adjust part... I know that as long as it locked in just one end it won't adjust itself. But it makes it stronger when it is tighten in both ends.
SHOUTOUT TO Emelia Hartford
Iceyy Stunts eyyy

When big boost gets caught watching Emilia Hartford's bikini drift challenge. 🚨
So awsome to see Adams transition of sucsess from a kid to now its crazy glad to see your doing so good in life and keeping us fans with you the whole ride with you keep it up man congrats on the maridge
didn´t alberto fix those wigly wheelstuds?
anti seize will also help slow down mixed metal corrosion between alloy lug-nuts on steel studs ... can be quite dangerous if the lug nuts are not often removed
Those forearm gainz😍😂 2:35
That new cover really ties in the "cream theme" keep up the great vids! Lovin' what you're doing.
are you guys going to go put pa pittsburgh
They really need to make a trip up here!
DADAM LZ BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH ANOTHER VIDEO
alberto has bags under his eyes... this good becuz he ovbiusly changing the e36 engine and we will get a video. respect man

Luke Duffy yeah I saw that. That's why I said it's no big deal. It's just better for cleaning the pads.
Adam - most auto part stores have some razor blade tools that make it way easier to remove RTV and gasket maker. Just an FYI. Good luck!
4:16 does anyone know if spacers like these will damage the wheel bearings, or the spacers that you tighten down like the black one he had
RifleRud why would they damage the bearing? Shouldnt have any impact on the bearing!
Sean Rafferty will it damage anything at all, here in my country these spacers are kinda hated
you should paint the nuts and washers for the rocket cover the same brown as the engine bay, they will stand out more and look nice
if you giveaway that valve cover im putting it on my sr
no one really knows how amazing adam is he helped so many people start their youtube career and that’s a big thing. hands down amazing guy
HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS CHRISTMAS This is like my dream garage with those cars 😤😤
@09:07 nivole is correct. Leave it how it is. Even run some clear over its current condition. Them battle scars make it worth what its worth. Otherwise its just a plain old shiney valve cover.
Leave the valve cover weathered
Buy you some chrome castle nuts for the valve cover. you can get them at any home depot or even autozone.
Leave it and sign it
The calipers came stock on 300zx z32's as well. I love mine they work amazing and look sexy
Did anybody else see that one wheel stud just flop? Should probably fix that lol
That thread tip is so helpful tbh I never thought of why every time I took off lug nuts they ended up a little rusty
Big Boost has a lady crush???? Amelia Hartford????
check out her channel. she's cool specially her most recent vid.
just wish it was her in the passenger seat not that fakeness
Shout out to Big Boost and Adam always putting out good videos 🤗
he gonna hit that 😤
Do a collab!
I think you should do a clear coat over your old valve cover. It would preserve the weathered/worn look.
You have to leave the valve cover weathered. Repainting it would get rid of the aesthetic and its history
Engine bay with that new head gasket looks awesome and it makes car look that better
Leave it! It has history u know
I like how there was oil by the plug indicating a bad gasket and it alarms you, yet you keep the old gasket.
I’m so excited to turn 16 so I can get a car but I forget that my parents don’t have a garage
It's actually really cool that you and Alberto both work on your cars together at your house
Don't touch the value cover leave it dirty
Please do a video on how the hood goes all the way up!
Only clean it, leave the color...
byGiNeSiToX Bananas
No don’t clean it it’ll wreck it
240sx looking fine as always
7:51 DEEZ NUTS

These NUTS, gottem
Nicole sideboob at 9:02 woo woo new valve covers and sick brakes
Leave ittttttt weathered man more sentimental
KEEP IT AND HANG IT UP SOMEWHERE ITS BEEN WITH YOU FOR YOU PROGRESS
Nice shoutout to Emilia Hartford !! Don't be a hater like TJ
Party Animal seriously, she is more awesome than tj could ever dream to be. I used to be a fan of tj being a fellow san diegan, but lately he just buggs.
What happened with Emelia and TJ? I'm honestly out of the loop lol
What did I miss
Klas Kitsune that's what I wanna know
Screw your old valve covers to your garage wall. Would look pretty cool and a nice reminder of the fun you've had
Put the valve cover on your toilet lol
That coil pack cover would look good in the same color as the engine bay, the grey/silver looks out of place now, with the cream valve cover.
Who else loves alberto
You should have a fabricator mill off the twin cam 16 valve and weld on LZ MFG
Nicole living that no-bra life 8:21
Wietze Buwalda frr tho thought no one saw it
Oh don't worry. I definitely saw.
Wietze Buwalda Thats definitely a bra unfortunately
nerds
flumbo Im not a nerd, just trying to crush these 12 year old's dreams
Definitely leave it weathered, it tells the story of that car and motor
Leave it dirty😂
New valve cover looks awesome, also the jam nut on the tension rod looks like it backed off, might wanna double check that!!
Try to buy a completely stock R34 GTR! Would love to see it on the channel, it's super customisable and an awesome car!
Anonymous he already has several projects hes busy on. A R34 wouldnt be a good idea right now
Id rather see him buy a 4 door 32
4 doors for more whores.
Do you get an extra rear seat with 4 doors? Lol
Rick Chrisiansson no you tend to get more doors though
Keep the valve cover war torn and weathered! It has amazing story’s to tell with it!
Adam dont drive like that the wheel isnt centered on the hub with thies spacers!
Hey adam, I just want to go head and say I am real excited for the 2j s15 build I think well I know it'll be amazing. Can't wait for the color!
Valve cover looked better red
S4S?
it doesnt fit with the rest of the engine bay tho imo, i like the cream one a lot more!
Cream valve cover looks super sick great job painting it Adam!!!!
na
Adam didnt paint it ?
I just bought merch from your store for the first time! I'm so excited:):):)
Paint the valve cover green, and give it away.
no
Perfectionist that doesn't put cardboard down when your clear coating calipers in the driveway
Red cover looks better
KAL 1 ayyy Kal what’s up - btw I aspire to be like you.
adam you better be getting paid well. I just watched a 30 sec ad with no skip button. i dont mind as long as youre cashing out
What are you doing in the bed 😏
You should really get some hub centric spacers, if you are going to run spacers.
Hi Adam
I personally think you should sign it as Nicole suggested and spray clear over it as is, think the wear on it is iconic as it comes a long way with you
enjoy :)
You should clean up the the drips and everything but leave the main splodges like next to the Nissan bit
The s15 already looks good af cause the wheels!😍
I love it how the old valve cover was nice material valve covers not like today all plastic stuff..
Adam you're suppose to put the gasket on the valve cover and then put it down onto the head lol. Cover looks awesome though!. You should put a light bulb socket onto the valve cover and mount it on the wall as a lamp :)
You should start using a plastic scraper to get off that old seal, the razor could gouge the metal
Paint the silver strip on the value cover the darker brown
mazworx do some silver valve cover bolts for the SR, they come with silver washers and all the bolts you need, about 45 bucks and they look super clean!
I'm all for spacers if they're safe. I run 2 1/2 inch spacers on my truck for over 2 years. Checking them once a month and have no issues. New Value cover looks really good nice good.
Get completely new o rings for the valve cover. Oil in coil pack is from leaky o ring
The tension rod jam nuts aren't tight at 2:29
I've always said copper grease the wheel nuts and just check them after two days then they're fine
Adam, I think you'll find that the spacing out the r32 brakes will not give you much more room. You'll need to find wheels with around 25-30mm of brake clearance to fit. Learn from my experience of fitting 80's SSR reverse mesh onto a 5 stud swapped 180sx.
