I have a similar morning ritual but before I leave the bed and and have had a coffee. At the moment my Guild F-412 is my favourite guitar, tuned down to d.
Im an Aussie as well, and this shoppe is the best I've seen on the web. Their attention to detail and what they know about their guitars in the shopee is second to none. The Alverez is my choice as well. 🎸🎸🍻🍻
You are so sweet! Thank you. I was a bit tired while visiting this store but these great guitars woke me up. Especially the Furch baritone and the atkins 12 fret. Wow!❤️
You made it to The Acoustic Shoppe! Yay! Now that McPherson was lovely! This one was loud and had beautiful life to it. I’ve never heard a Furch I didn’t like, lol. I’d love to have a Baritone. I always wonder why one would pick between a Baritone and a Bass (especially a six string bass). That might be a good subject to discuss sometime. Jeremy The Guitar Hunter is a huge fan of Furch. If you didn’t see his videos from the time they invited him to come to their factory, go check those out. It’s incredible how much technology they use to design and build every single Furch guitar - and still, the human involvement and attention to detail is mind blowing. The Atkins guitars were also really nice. I haven’t heard too many of those. Maybe a couple. I feel like the second one was more your speed. The first was more a J-43 or J-45 type guitar, which I love. But I think that second guitar was definitely more you for finger-style playing. The OM was also very much your taste and complimented your playing style beautifully. The bridge on that last Atkins was surely unique. I was expecting to hear that it is just decorative, but yeah, it really had a better break angle. The Lowden was much Lowder (ha, ha, ha) than I was expecting it to be for a parlor size, lol. That Badell was beautiful. It was a bit more delicate sounding. But that Brazilian Rosewood with the sap in the back was just gorgeous. So many beautiful guitars. I hope they gave you a sample to take home with you, lol. 😉 😂
Im enjoying this series. That alvarez is gorgeous! And Im a big fan of the Acoustic Shoppe, even though Im in Australia. I like the way they seem to do business. Just honest, nice guys. Thanks for this instalment.
Wow, what gems! Loved all the Atkins and the Bedell guitars. I wouldn't be able to make up my mind if I had to choose, because they all sound so different. I have several Alvarez/Yairi guitars. They're fantastic guitars too and very affordable for solid wood guitars. Thank you for sharing your delightful visit to this shop. 💓

That is so interesting. I wished I had more time to play that Alvarez- I was very surprised at the quality and tone. I will be on the lookout for others. ❤️
Thanks for shared this info - that was another awesome guitar at a great price too😀. I was so overwhelmed by all the magnificent instruments I did not have enough time ❤️
The bridge in the Alvarez Yairi is called a direct coupled bridge. The pins are connecting the strings directly to the guitar top and also increasing the string break angle. The part with the saddle has only downforce so it eliminates the bridge from ever lifting and separating from the top. Mr. Yairi designed this unique bridge to make the top more responsive and be maintenance free.
