Ladyland Art Club - Design a Can Label

Graphic design challenge!
A kids art class all about can labels. We'll look at some design examples examples, then make our own design.
Today I'm going to get you guys to do some graphic design for me. My job is running a graphic design agency and we design all sorts of packaging. Now you can help us out with our work. I want you to design a label for a can - but it's not just a can of beans, I want it to be the wildest, craziest thing you can think of that might come in a can. Rainbow soup? 🌈 Zebra bum stew? 🦓 Frogs eyes? 👀 You choose!

All you need is a can - for a drink or food. Some plain paper to make a label. Pencils of pens to design and colour it. Then stick the label on your can.

This art class was originally shared live on Instagram during lockdown. I've saved it here so it's easy to rewatch and share. You'll see lots of work at the end that was done during the live class by kids and some parents too.
The class today is for all ages, littlies will need a bit of adult help. But remember, this is art therapy, not art competition, it’s all about the process. Art doesn’t need to be good, it’s just a fun way to pass the time, learn a little and use the right side of our brains. So grown ups if you’re feeling stressed out, I’d love you to join in too.
