    I have been dabbling in macrame for about 3 or 4 months now. I make dream catchers so the weaving came easy to me. however, this video was the most amazing to me at 8:39 mins in the way you added the feathers is just wow to me it's gonna not just help with my macrame but with my dream catchers as well thank you for your video new subbie just for that gem xoxox God bless

    This is quite lovely and I keep forgetting how to do the knotting..which is do to the fact I don't use it often enough. "If you don't it use it, you lose it."
    Thank you.
    Quick note. Though this is definitely a beautiful wall decoration it is not a dream catcher.

    Im not sure if I'm doing something wrong but i followed this pattern exactly and it turned out great except the rope left hanging is all different lengths, mostly short in the middle and long towards the edge? how did you avoid this?
    Looks great by the way :)

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sarah, once you've completed the pattern you then simply cut the ends to your desired shape. For this piece I cut them in a diamond shape but you can cut them all the same length if you wish 😊 Thanks for following my tutorial, I would love to see your finished piece if you have Instagram feel free to tag me @OhSoHygge

    If I just want a 35cm long triangle with the same knots but short fringes, how long should each strand be? I’m new at this and am finding it difficult to determine the length and amount of cord. Thanks.

    Hi. Love your video. I tried making my very 1st macrame seeing your video , but my triangle shape after square knots doesnt look same as yours (right side doesnt match with left side in regards with shape ) i took a normal tree branche to use as a wood. Could you please help solve this confusion. Thank you!

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it doesn't quite match up just check your knots to ensure you didn't skip any rows. The rope should be pretty versitle so if you stretch it out that might help to make it look even 😊

    Sorry, please ignore my last question: I see the answers in the video description! But Michael's is always out of macrame rope. Which rope on Ropeshop.ca would you recommend for your feather wallhanging?

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, the macrame rope is very popular in Michaels. What I tend to do is call ahead in advance to see if they have any in stock and get them to hold two behind the counter so I can pick them up later that day.
      If you were to shop online at somewhere like the ropeshop, the most popular style of rope to use for macrame is the 100% cotton 3 ply (3 strand) rope.
      The thickness of the rope depends on the size of your project. If for example you wanted to create this tutorial exactly, I used 100% cotton 'braided' rope which is 3mm thick. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions 😊

    hello, can you tell me where you punched these kind of feathers? I have looked at JoAnns and Michelle but they don't have any as good as yours. thank you.

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Angela! Yea I agree Michaels doesn't have a great choice for feathers. I bought mine from a store called Dressew in Vancouver but I don't think they have any other stores as far as I'm aware. You might have some luck looking online or some other little craft stores? Where are you from?

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds great! I'm pretty new to macrame as well so all of my patterns are pretty simple once you break them down and get the basic knots figured out 😊. So this piece measured about 25 x 13 inches. Hope this helps and good luck!

    Would this work with yarn?

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would think so ☺️ Yarn will give it more texture, but I think using a chunky yarn would be best so that you don't lose the details of the knots. Would love to see how it would turn out with yarn! Feel free to tag me on instagram @OhSoHygge if you make it ☺️
