I couldn't believe some of the criticism. Bouke sang it fantastically. I have listened to this particular hymn by various artists lately : Mario Lanza's version is my favorite. Enrico Caruso was excellent. Ernie Ford teaming up with Gordon MacRea was wonderful. I have heard Bouke sing this before. He does it so well.
No one could, Tim. Some of those people are just clowns with no knowledge at all. There were even a few comments during his performance which had nothing to do with the music. Like; so unprofessional. I didn't put energy in translating those. 😜
Hi 👋 it seems to me that a lot of these judges turn on a deaf ear 👂 when they watch somebody that has so much talent and a wonderful voice bouke you certainly have all the talent and a very passionate voice to go with it 🎤👌👌💕💕💕

Exactly.. During this show he did 3 songs. 2 songs the first time and now this one. Not one of those song was a Elvis song. And still they talk about that. It's also because they presented him like that, by calling him the Dutch Elvis. Which is so stupid. Jes, he brings Elvis songs too, but he does it his way! He is Bouke. And some people should try to understand this, instead of coming with conclusions and use it against him.

Another reverential song, actually a hymn, that I wish he would sing is "The Lord's Prayer." It would stretch him as a singer. But I think he can pull it off as well as he did "O Holy Night." Perry Como and Andy Williams did it well. Even Elvis did it in a private recording. But he had to completely change his voice to hit some strenuous notes in the last minute. I think Bouke could do it since he has a somewhat strong, operatic voice when he steps on the power.
