The crazy thing about this game is it has the graphics and engine power you'd expect from a triple A game about exploring some huge map and having firefights with lots of enemies. But it's all trains. I seriously expected some beast to attack from that fog
I was streaming this game for a friend and some other friends hopped in stream and thought I was playing a horror game. It was dark foggy and raining in the valley at the time. I was giving my 282 everything she had to get up a hill.
Tbh I hope either the dev or a modder adds the ability to make sticky notes that I can put in the cabin like "train engine + caboose = (however long they are combined)" and other useful stuff that I'll forget between play sessions lol
I don't know if you read comments here Zach, but I'd suggest egtting into the habbit of finding the job and coupling into it (or even getting it moving) before putting the paper into the machine. With the later licenses the bonus time goes down so much you pretty much need to get your train going to make bonus Also you can point your mouse onto most things and use the scroll wheel to manipulate them, like switches or the career manager
The caboose doesn't only charge the remote charger, it also is a signal booster so it works from farther away. Also, not B-5-Zero. The naming convention in Derail Valley is "Yard Letter/Track Number/(I)nbound or (O)utbound or (S)torage or (L)oading". So "B-5-Oh". That said... meh. Call it whatever.
coupling cheat since they now allow the remote, sync with the train and hit the green button once u see the light turn on on the controler, it couples and undoes the brakes. works great. when you uncouple u can also uncouple and sets the brake on the cars too. makes dutch dropping stupid xD. hold x and mouse wheel up and down. i put a hook in the celling of the caboose and hung the lamps from them and stereo. i got need for speed blasting as im high balling it thru the yard
i might be hyping a bit but, i really wonder how your experience with the steam engines will work out an engine that needs Two men being worked by a Newbie and a Almighty Treasure Panda that sounds delightful :) You gotta get some tips for it tho, so you don't explode it in the first minutes
