This song is so dark and beautiful. The “Never again, and never again, they gave us two shots to the back of the head and we’re all dead now” bit hits different for some reason. I just love it.
@@cudahitz I think this song is inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. In fact, the whole album. Since MCR has always had a strong conceptual vein. I love it so much.
Not me crying E V E R Y S I N G L E T I M E I listen to this song. AND I'VE HEARD IT FOR THE FIRST TIME WHEN I WAS 12 (15 years ago) The lyrics and the passion, the build up to the end and the intensity. The vocals. Man. Goosebumps.
this song perfectly encapsulates that classic MCR sound. It's such a great ender to the album too. Throughout the album, Gerard's vocals become more manic, like a psychotic descent into the madness. This being the final song, it's like he completely loses it and goes off with the despair and those screams _I TRIEEEEEEDD_ (3:12) and _I CAN'T CLEAN THE BLOOD OFF THE SHEETS IN MY BED_ (4:54) are my favorite examples of that
I agree! I have only started listening to them from this channel a year ago, and they have a distinct, yet amazing sound that this song encapsulated perfectly!
This song is the synthesis of the concept of the first two albums. A couple of criminals flee from the police, die, go to hell twice, seek revenge, it's actually more complicated than that, but it sums up all the feelings involved in the story. You should react to Demolition Lovers; I never told you what I do for a living tells the story of the second time the characters die, Demolition Lovers tells the story of the first time, it's really interesting :) Great video by the way.
I really love these videos because it’s like watching a friend listen to your favorite song for the first time and they love it just as much as you do. It’s so comforting
if i could, i'd marry this song, it has something that, i dunno, i just love it. good video, actually i do the same reactions when i hear it, it's kinda funny, somehow; anyway, i hope next video u listen to Desert Song, take care;)
Remember that demolition lovers reaction you did?? Remember the lyric “I’m trying”coming up over and over. The end of this one with the “I tried” hits way harder after u connect that.
Its the moment he realises the devil has tricked him, the 1000th evil soul is his own and so he will never be with his love again....so we're all dead now....
So this is such a beautiful and crazy song. From the lyrics to the chaos of the instrumentals I mean it really is a reflection on our crazy lives. “I’m so dirty babe”
It's about a woman and a man who died an he killed many people to be again a with his wife. It's the end of "Demolition lovers". You really should react to Demolition lovers next. Also Gerard screaming is everything. Love your videos keep going. 🤘🤘
I'll definitely check it out! Super stoked for concept work and this definitely is something that you can tell they put a ton of effort into as far as storytelling goes!
i dont wanna say it, but i'll do it, i told you... this one is for me the best song from three cheers for sweet revenge it has everything, a masterpiece, and your reaction was awesome as ever, keep it up bro :D
You need to react to the "first" ever MCR song written: Skylines and Turnstiles, You'll love the guitar work on Early sunsets over Monroeville and Headfirst for the halos.
This is awesomecakes as usual. I love the extra insights and the enthousiasm you bring to these songs. Can you do "This is how i dissapear" or "Boy Division" next from My Chem? Those really rock
I’d love to see you react to some Guns N Roses off the “Appetite For Destruction” album. The bass work is ingenious and the rhythm guitar play between Slash and Izzy Stradlin is so impressive. I’ve never heard such tight grooves played off each other.
Every one of their albums ended on a great song. You gotta react to Demolition Lovers and Vampire Money. Also have you ever listened to Rise Against? That would be a great band for you to react to!!
You should check out "Heaven Help Us." It's off an EP of Black Parade b-sides that were never on the main album, but I think it's one of the best out there.
Great great song, definitely a classic. They put this at the end of the album for a reason it wasn't random. It's the final chapter in the story about the boy and the girl on the cover of the album...that's why they have blood on their face. The fact that Rolling Stone only gave this album 3 stars out of 5 shows how utterly garbage that publication has always been. Yet they'll give any garbage hip hop album a 5 out of 5 rating.
Thanks for reacting to this song!! Really great one off of three cheers. If you need a break from mcr, another band you could check out is palaye royale! “The Bastards” album is really great-my favorites off of it are “little bastards,” “anxiety,” “massacre, the new American dream,” “tonight is the night I die” and “lonely”! They make me think of an interesting mix between quite a few bands, and I’m not sure if they were ever inspired by mcr but I definitely feel some mcr vibes from their stuff! Thanks for always making these great reactions for people to watch!! They make my day :)
@@mikaelaw6743 that’s so cool!! I only started listening to them a little while ago but wow have they ever impressed me! Cool sounds mixed with well-thought out lyrics, and I’m also a big fan of their “appearance” sort of style. Thanks for telling me more about them!!
@@ash8282 that’s awesome! I love them, they’re so underrated. Definitely huge MCR vibes to their appearance, lyrics and concepts. I saw your favorites from The Bastards album, do you have a favorite song from their other albums?
@@mikaelaw6743 Yes! For Boom Boom Room (Side B) my favorites are teenage heartbreak queen, dying in a hot tub, Mrs. Infamous (my sweetness), and hospital beds! From side A I really like my youth generation, Mr. doctor man, and ma cherie! What are your favorites?
Could you do bury me in black, off of life on the murder scene. It's a demo that was replaced by this on three cheers. Personally i think bury me in black should have been on it instead.
That was awesome! I love your reactions to MCR. There are no songs from them that I don’t like. Have you heard Pinkish from Gerard Way or Medicine Square Garden from Frank Iero and the Future Violents? Those are awesome too!

I’ve always loved how Gerard seems like he is crying when he sings or scream.
this!!!! totally agree
Im the guy who memorized all their fucking lyrics in all their entire album. No bad song in this shit
Ahahaha I agree! Their music is so amazing! not one bad song in my opinion
Literally NOT ONE BAD SONG. 🥰🥰🥰

The lyrics really bring out so much emotion and passion that is for sure ESPECIALLY when he is screaming
It was not out 15 years ago lol

doesn't the narratives character have to kill 1000 people to bring his lover back from hell or something? It's been a long time
@@Agaetis181 yeah
Your facial expressions when Gerard screams always crack me up 😂 please do Boy Division soon!
And I hope life is going well for you btw 🙏🏻
LOOOL his screams are great!
The I tried part near the end always gets me… such an intense yet beautiful song
excellent song choice for MCR i love this song especially Gerards screams goddamn!
Gerard's screams are amazing!
I love you. You’re the only person that seems to do MCR reactions.
Always down to hear good music and see what is out there!
And we’ll love again.. we’ll laugh again ..we’ll cry again and we’ll dance again.. love this lyric so very much 🖤

Ahahahaha hope you liked it and I did it justice!
Omg, I’m so obsessed with them... nobody else writes like this band man. And amazing guitar and melody changes constantly, LOVE THEM
I miss storytelling like this! I know Marianas Trench did a good job of concept work earlier on in their career too
My Chemical Romance was one of the best out of all of those groups that started back in the early to mid-2000's.
